What is a bonus miles transfer?

Golden Lotus members can transfer bonus miles in their account to another account with a few simple steps. Dear members, please note:

• Transferred bonus miles are only valid for redemption and have no card ranking value;
• Transferred bonus miles are non-refundable under any circumstances.

Bonus miles transfer fee

Bonus miles are transferred in packages with a value of 1,000 miles/package:

• Price in Vietnam (excluding VAT): 210,000 VND/1,000 miles.
• Overseas price: 10 USD/1,000 miles.

Instructions for transferring bonus miles

There are 3 ways to transfer bonus miles: Online on Vietnam Airlines website, online on Vietnam Airlines app and directly at branches.

• When transferring miles online via Vietnam Airlines' website or app, the mile recipient will pay the transfer fee;
• When transferring miles directly at a branch, the transferor and the recipient need to:

Transfer bonus miles on Vietnam Airlines website

Step 1: Access the Golden Lotus account on the website vietnamairlines.com in the top toolbar on the right hand side.

Step 2: After successfully logging in, go to “Buy/Transfer miles”.

Step 3: In the “Buy and transfer miles” window, select “Transfer bonus miles”.

Step 4: In the “Transfer bonus miles” window, fill in the recipient's membership card number then select “Continue”.

Step 5:

• The system defaults to displaying the smallest package of 1,000 miles, press “+” or “-” to adjust the number of bonus miles;
• Check unit price, apply promotion code (if any), check total amount and total amount to be paid;
• Read the terms and check the box “I agree to the Terms and Conditions”;
• Continue to choose the appropriate payment method and proceed to payment.

Step 6: After completing the payment, confirmation information will be sent to the registered email address. If you do not receive an email within 01 hour after successful payment, please contact the Golden Lotus support department via the following channels:

Transfer bonus miles on Vietnam Airlines app

Step 1: Access your Golden Lotus account on the Vietnam Airlines app at “Login” on the top right, or “Lotusmiles” on the toolbar below.

Step 2: After successfully logging in, scroll down to the “Buy/Transfer miles” section and click “Transfer bonus miles”. The system will display the registered email and phone number. Members check the information, edit if necessary, then select “Continue”.

Step 3: At the “Transfer bonus miles” window, members need to fill in the beneficiary's membership card number, click “verify” and select “Continue”.

Step 4: At the “Transfer bonus miles” window:

• The default system displays the smallest package of 1000 miles, press “+” or “-” to adjust the number of bonus miles;
• Check unit price, amount and total amount to be paid;
• Read the terms and conditions, then select “I agree”.

Step 5:

• The system will ask to confirm the transaction and send a verification code to the registered phone number/email;
• After verification, check the amount, choose the appropriate payment method and proceed to payment.

Step 6: After completing the payment, confirmation information will be sent to the registered email address. If you do not receive an email within 01 hour after successful payment, please contact the Golden Lotus support department via the following channels:

Transfer bonus miles directly at Vietnam Airlines branches

Step 1: Fill in the Miles Transfer Request form with the signatures of both the mile transferor and the mile recipient.

Step 2:

• Submit completed application form and payment at Vietnam Airlines branches.
• When making payment, the transferor and recipient must present their membership card and identification documents (original ID card/CCCD/passport).
• Transferred miles will be credited to the recipient's account.
