Binh Duong Club says goodbye to coach Hoang Anh Tuan

Binh Duong Club has decided to part ways with coach Hoang Anh Tuan after less than half a year of working together. The decision of the team was made after careful consideration by the board of directors regarding the results of the matches and the actual situation on the field. It is expected that besides coach Hoang Anh Tuan, some assistants in the team that Mr. Tuan brought in will also leave Binh Duong Club.

Coach Hoang Anh Tuan joined Binh Duong team at the beginning of the 2024-2025 season, with the goal of bringing the Go Dau team to the top of the V-League. The former U.23 Vietnam strategist had a smooth start with 4 points after 2 rounds (won Thanh Hoa, drew Hai Phong ).

However, Binh Duong FC's poor performance after that made coach Hoang Anh Tuan's position shaky. After 9 rounds, Binh Duong FC ranked 8th, 9 points behind the top team Thanh Hoa .

Nguyen Tien Linh and his teammates lost all three away matches with the same score of 0-1 against Hanoi, The Cong Viettel and Cong An Hanoi. The 1-4 defeat against Nam Dinh at home was the “last straw”, forcing the leadership of Binh Duong Club to make changes.

Coach Hoang Anh Tuan used to lead Khanh Hoa and Hai Phong in the V-League, before spending 9 years training and coaching Vietnam youth teams (U.17, U.20 and U.23) for the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF). Mr. Tuan said goodbye to the head coach position of Vietnam youth teams in 2024 to start his adventure in Binh Duong. However, unstable performance on the field and internal problems caused Mr. Tuan's adventure to become unfinished.

Binh Duong Club will look for a new coach to replace Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan during the V-League break to make room for the national team.
