Hanoi Police Club recruits Brazilian striker, about to introduce 'huge' new recruits

Immediately after ending his contract with Viettel Club, striker Geovane Magno found a new destination. That is Hanoi Police Club, the team that just won the championship in V-League 2023.

The Brazilian striker promises to be an ideal addition to the Hanoi Police Club with his extensive experience in the V-League. The 29-year-old player has played for Saigon FC, Hanoi FC and Viettel FC. In each team, Geovane has shown his ability to play as a main striker and lead the game.

Specifically, Geovane scored 12 goals in 33 matches for Saigon FC in the V-League, making a great contribution to helping Saigon FC finish third in the 2020 V-League. In the 2021 season, Geovane played for Hanoi FC. Although he no longer had a big influence, Geovane still scored 6 goals in 11 matches.

In the 2022 season, Geovane moved to Viettel Club. This striker immediately made his mark with 9 goals and 5 assists after 24 matches in the V-League. At the AFC Cup, the arena where Viettel Club reached the semi-finals, Geovane also affirmed his importance with 2 goals and 2 assists after 4 matches played.

Speed, technique and the ability to coordinate well with Pedro Paulo helped Geovane have an impressive playing time, being a creative spark in the game. However, injury prevented Geovane from continuing his form in V-League 2023. He had to miss most of the season for treatment.

Moving to Hanoi Police Club, Geovane will play alongside many high-class teammates such as Quang Hai, Jhon Cley, Raphael Success and Van Thanh.

Besides Geovane, Hanoi Police Club has successfully recruited central defender Bui Hoang Viet Anh from Hanoi Club, and midfielder Le Pham Thanh Long from Thanh Hoa Club. Defender Ho Van Cuong is also preparing to join the Hang Day Stadium team under a loan contract from SLNA.

At 4:30 p.m. today (September 27), Hanoi Police Club will play a friendly match with Binh Duong Club. This is also the match where the reigning V-League champion will introduce their new squad with the aim of successfully defending the throne in the 2023-2024 season.
