Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club continues to receive awards for historic feat in Asia

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the city's Department of Culture and Sports have decided to give a big reward to the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club after their unbelievable victory.

On the evening of March 22, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club created a breathtaking comeback against Abu Dhabi (UAE) in the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League Women's.

From being down 0-3 and then 2-4, coach Doan Thi Kim Chi's team played resiliently with a never-give-up spirit. When the clock struck the 90th minute, Al Zaabi's own goal brought an unbelievable 5-4 victory for the HCMC Women's Club.

This is the first time the AFC Women's Champions League has been held. Vietnam's representative, who is not highly regarded in the continental arena, has won a ticket to the semi-finals. The thrilling victory makes the position in the top 4 teams of this year's tournament even more meaningful.

After the great victory of the city's women's football team, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, member of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, informed that the City People's Committee will reward the entire team with 200 million VND.

On this occasion, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City also awarded 100 million VND to the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club.

Previously, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) also gave a "hot" bonus of 500 million VND, while the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation (HFF) gave a bonus of 200 million VND. So far, the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club has received 1 billion VND.

In addition, the team is also sure to receive a huge amount of money from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) after reaching the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League Women's 2025. Specifically, they have received 220,000 USD from participating in the group stage and reaching the quarter-finals, and an additional 120,000 USD for reaching the semi-finals. The total bonus from the AFC is 340,000 USD, equivalent to 8.7 billion VND.

Thus, the HCMC Women's Club has "pocketed" nearly 10 billion VND. If they continue to surprise and go far, the amount of money they earn will be even more significant.
