V-League 2025-2026 is waiting for Quang Nam Club to officially respond on whether to participate in another season or not.

On July 28, Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF Company) continued to send a document to Quang Nam Club.

Quang Nam Club successfully stayed in the league but now their fate is unknown.

VPF said: "Based on the plan to organize national professional football tournaments for the 2025-2026 season and the documents exchanged between VPF Company and Quang Nam Football Development Joint Stock Company (the parent company of Quang Nam Football Club) in the past time regarding the confirmation of registration to participate in the 2025-2026 season. On July 24, 2025, VPF Company received reply document No. 49/BĐQN from Quang Nam Football Development Joint Stock Company reporting on the participation situation of Quang Nam Football Club in the 2025-2026 season.

However, the content of the official dispatch does not officially confirm whether or not Quang Nam Club will continue to participate in the 2025-2026 season.

Based on the plan to organize the LPBank National Football Championship 2025-2026, in order to ensure that the preparation and organization work is carried out according to plan, VPF Company once again requests Quang Nam Football Club to urgently issue an official document confirming the registration to participate in the 2025-2026 season and send it to VPF Company before 5:00 p.m., July 28, 2025.

The delay in confirmation by the club not only affects the organization of the tournament, but also affects the image of the tournament and causes losses to shareholders of VPF Company.

VPF Company hopes to soon receive a response from Quang Nam Football Club to promptly coordinate and handle related work, ensuring the 2025/26 season is organized as planned."

After the city leaders, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City and the Quang Nam Football Development Joint Stock Company stepped in to find a way to maintain the existence of the team, a number of businesses in Da Nang agreed to provide financial support so that the Quang Nam football team could continue operating. However, these businesses are still not capable of securing a large budget, up to more than 100 billion VND, to maintain the professional football team. According to a source, a business wants to sponsor 80 billion VND but up to now, there has been no official response.

A few days ago, VFF sent a written response to VPF regarding the solution related to the Quang Nam team: "On July 24, the VFF Executive Committee agreed on a plan to arrange, adjust, supplement, and replace teams participating in national professional football tournaments, in case a team withdraws from the V-League 2025-2026.

Criteria for selecting a replacement team to participate in the V-League 2025-2026:

Based on the competition results of the national first division tournament in the 2024-2025 season; Only 1 replacement team will be selected, which is the team with the highest ranking after the teams that have won a place in the V-League 2025-2026 and are eligible for a license in the following order: Binh Phuoc Club (runner-up of the national first division tournament 2024-2025); PVF-CAND Club (ranked 3rd in the national first division tournament 2024-2025).

In case Binh Phuoc Club refuses to be promoted, PVF-CAND Club will be considered as a replacement. In case both clubs refuse to be promoted, the 2025-2026 V-League will remain the same with 13 participating teams.
