The report, compiled from more than 24,000 searches by international travelers on the Expedia platform, shows that more natural, peaceful and sustainable destinations are gradually gaining the attention of travel enthusiasts.

Topping the list is Big Sky (Montana, USA), followed by Okinawa (Japan) and Sardinia (Italy). Phu Quoc is the only representative of Southeast Asia in the Top 5.

According to travel expert Melanie Fish of Expedia Group, Phu Quoc is increasingly attracting international tourists thanks to its pristine natural beauty, rich marine ecosystem, and the strong development of high-end resorts and environmentally friendly services.

“Phu Quoc offers visitors the perfect combination of relaxation and exploration, from snorkeling, exploring primeval forests, to enjoying local cuisine and the vibrant atmosphere at the night market,” said Ms. Melanie Fish.

In recent years, Phu Quoc Island has continuously upgraded its infrastructure, expanded international flights and focused on developing sustainable tourism. This has helped the island become an attractive destination for both vacationers and nature lovers.

With recognition from international travel sites, Phu Quoc is affirming its position as a leading destination in the region and the world, promising to continue to explode in 2026.
