The event featured 10 countries showcasing their signature wine products, including Armenia, Belgium, Canada, Luxembourg, Morocco, Moldova, France, Switzerland, Romania and Vietnam.
The Embassy participated in organizing a booth to display and promote Vietnamese wine products, introducing to international friends the image of a dynamic and creative Vietnam, gradually affirming its position in the field of production and processing of products with high added value.
The opening session and wine tasting event took place on October 28, attracting the participation of representatives of local authorities, embassies of Francophone countries, President of the Brasov Francophone Business Club, President of the Brasov Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Brasov International Airport, Director of BRD Bank - Société Générale Brasov Group; representatives of the French consumer goods distribution chain Auchan... and a number of local businesses.

This activity not only contributes to promoting the “Made in Vietnam” brand but also promotes cultural and economic exchanges in the Francophone space, demonstrating Vietnam’s proactive, positive spirit and deep integration into the international community.
At the same time, this is also an opportunity for Vietnamese wine products to access the Romanian and European markets, seek potential partners, and expand the export of processed agricultural products.
The participation of the Embassy clearly demonstrates the role of diplomatic missions in linking economic diplomacy with cultural diplomacy, contributing to enhancing mutual understanding and promoting friendly relations between the people of Vietnam and Romania.
Vietnam's booth with unique cultural products and images, especially the first appearance of Vietnamese wine, attracted the attention and interest of many attendees.

On the sidelines of the event, Ambassador Do Duc Thanh had meetings and worked with Deputy Mayor of Brasov Dan Ghita and President of Brasov Chamber of Commerce and Industry Silviu Costea, discussing cooperation potentials in the fields of economics - trade, labor, tourism, culture and education, towards strengthening comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Romania.
The exchanges helped both sides gain a deeper understanding of each other's needs, potentials and desires to promote cooperation.
Deputy Mayor Dan Ghita affirmed that Brasov City Hall will create maximum favorable conditions in administrative procedures for Vietnamese investors to come to learn about the market and open representative offices in Brasov.
For his part, President Silviu Costea expressed his willingness to closely coordinate with the Vietnamese Embassy in organizing economic diplomacy activities and connecting businesses in Brasov in 2026 and the following years, contributing to strengthening and expanding cooperative relations between the two countries.
