Agencies and businesses support localities in overcoming flood consequences

DNO - On November 13, agencies, organizations and businesses in the city visited and presented gifts to support people in localities heavily affected by the recent floods.

* On the morning of November 13, representatives of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development ( Agribank ) Dai Loc Quang Nam branch presented support gifts from Agribank Vietnam to flood victims in Thuong Duc commune.

Mr. Le Dang Tuan, Director of Agribank Dai Loc Quang Nam branch, presented 100 gifts (VND 1 million/gift) to support households that suffered heavy losses.

On this occasion, Agribank Vietnam supports people in flood-affected communes: Dai Loc, Ha Nha, Thuong Duc, Phu Thuan, Vu Gia ( Da Nang city) with a total amount of 500 million VND (100 million VND/commune).

On the same day, a representative of Agribank Dai Loc Quang Nam branch presented Dai Lanh Kindergarten (Thuong Duc commune) with 10 million VND to overcome the consequences of the flood.

Director of Agribank Dai Loc Quang Nam branch Le Dang Tuan added that this time, Agribank Dai Loc Quang Nam branch also donated 3 schools in Ha Nha, Phu Thuan, Vu Gia communes (10 million VND/school). The fund is taken from the salaries of the unit's staff and charity funds. (KHAI KHIEM)

* On November 13, a working delegation from the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Da Nang city visited, assessed the situation and gave gifts to support people severely affected by floods in the communes of Tra Giap, Tra Tan, Tra Doc and Tra My.

The working group presented gifts to 33 households whose houses were damaged and some who were injured due to landslides (1 million VND/case); in particular, those who were prestigious people were supported with 2 million VND.

In Tra Giap commune, the most severely damaged locality in the Tra My region, the delegation also presented 50 gifts including necessities (rice, instant noodles, cooking oil, fish sauce, etc.) supported by the Da Nang City Business Association. (VAN BINH)

* On the same day, the Association for the Protection of Poor Women and Children of Da Nang city came to encourage and give gifts to support people who suffered heavy losses due to floods in Ha Nha commune.

From mobilized and donated resources, the Association for the Protection of Poor Women and Children of Da Nang City presented 150 gifts (each gift includes 1 million VND in cash and gifts) to households in Ha Nha commune with difficult circumstances, severely affected by the recent floods.

The total support budget is nearly 170 million VND, helping local people quickly overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.

* On the morning of November 13, the working delegation of Hai Chau Ward Party Committee visited and presented gifts to support the people of Hung Son commune, a sister unit, who suffered losses in the recent floods.

To promptly share the heavy losses that Hung Son commune had to suffer in the recent floods, Hai Chau ward presented 200 million VND in support to the Hung Son Commune Party Committee to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

The working delegation of Hai Chau Ward Party Committee also presented gifts, books and learning tools worth 100 million VND to schools in the area; supported Ga'nil village school (belonging to Axan Primary School) with 15 million VND to repair and supplement teaching equipment after the flood.

The delegation presented the Women's Union of Hung Son commune with 10 million VND to take care of the lives of female members in the highlands after the natural disaster and gave 30 gifts to 30 households with especially difficult circumstances in Ki'noonh village. (HO QUAN - PARAI)
