Unexpected reward for Son Thanh Commune Police for their achievements in preventing and combating drug crimes

On the afternoon of November 12, the Party Committee and leaders of Dak Lak Provincial Police also presented a Letter of Merit from Major General Phan Thanh Tam, Director of the Provincial Police, to this unit for its achievements in detecting and eliminating drug trafficking and illegal drug use locations in the area.

The Party Committee and People's Committee of the commune awarded certificates of merit to the Son Thanh Commune Police and individuals.

Previously, at 3:00 p.m. on October 14, 2025, using professional measures, Son Thanh Commune Police caught NHH (born in 1997, residing in Thach Ban village), NTP (born in 2000, residing in Son Tay village) and D.DT (born in 2003, residing in Lac My village) in the act of buying, selling, and organizing illegal use of drugs at NHH's house.

Searching H.'s bedroom, the authorities seized 23 sealed plastic bags containing white crystals suspected to be methamphetamine (crystal meth) with a total weight of 4.482 grams. Rapid test results showed that all three subjects tested positive for drugs.

After 2 days of fighting, the subjects admitted to their crimes. Son Thanh Commune Police handed over the files, evidence and subjects to the Investigation Police Agency, Provincial Police for further investigation and handling according to the law.

Not only stopping at the above project, recently, Son Thanh Commune Police also discovered and eliminated 2 points/3 subjects organizing illegal drug use; at the same time, verified and expanded the discovery to put 15 subjects under management according to the provisions of Decree No. 105/2021/ND-CP of the Government on drug prevention and control.

The sudden reward shows the timely recognition and commendation of the Party Committee, the Provincial Police leadership and the local government for the resolute spirit of fighting against crime and drug abuse of Son Thanh Commune Police.
