As a unit under the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City, Phuoc Binh Drug Rehabilitation Center (39 hectares in Hamlet 4, Phuoc Binh Commune, Long Thanh District, Dong Nai Province) always focuses on taking care of the spiritual life of the staff and workers of the Center, organizing collective birthdays every quarter, cultural, artistic and sports exchanges between rooms and areas on holidays and Tet.

Currently, the facility is managing 334 students, fully implementing the regimes and policies for students according to the Decision of the City People's Committee on adjusting and supplementing a number of regimes for students during the time of implementing administrative handling decisions at the compulsory drug rehabilitation facility managed by the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the City Youth Union.

At the same time, take full care of the regime, food, clothing, and accommodation for students according to regulations, meals, daily menus for students are changed to diversify dishes for students, daily financial disclosure in the student kitchen area. Organize canteen activities with many items to serve the lives of students. Periodically 3 times/week at the student housing areas, activities are organized according to the DAYTOP model (treatment through challenges) toeducate and modify the personality and behavior of drug addicts by the students themselves. Through DAYTOP meetings, students can show solidarity, share and help each other in life, practice discipline in studying and training, recognize and correct deviant behaviors, violations of rules and regulations, or praise and reward good people and good deeds at the facility, thereby helping students overcome difficulties, overcome themselves, and be determined to quit drugs and return to their families and society early.

In addition to professional work, the facility always pays attention to environmental protection activities and landscaping for the facility. Such as planting more trees, arranging flower pots, ornamental plants in the areas of paths, corridors, stairs. Flower gardens, ornamental plants are cared for, neatly trimmed, the campus is swept, cleaned, painted, repaired cleanly, beautifully. Patient's belongings, clothes, beds and wardrobes in the students' rooms are arranged neatly, tidily...

Every day, medical staff conduct 3-step food sample inspection, have a logbook for importing raw materials and processing food, and store food samples according to regulations. All logistics staff working in catering participate in food safety and hygiene training at the Long Thanh District Health Department. Strictly implement food safety and hygiene regulations at the unit. During the period, there was no collective food poisoning.

The area around the residence and workplace is cleaned and garbage is collected daily, collected and placed in the right place. Sign a contract to collect household garbage with Quyet Tien Transport Cooperative to go to the weekly garbage collection facility to take it for treatment according to the regulations of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Dong Nai Province.

The facility has signed a contract with Ha Mai Van Limited Liability Company to install a medical wastewater treatment system in accordance with the regulations of the Dong Nai Department of Health. Domestic water and drinking water are tested annually at the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control.

The rehabilitation center has well implemented the environmental programs and plans of the Government and Dong Nai province. The center has issued a plan to organize activities in response to the Environment Day with a variety of contents such as: Dredging and clearing sewers; collecting and classifying waste; planting new and replacing weak trees, protecting the green tree system and environmental landscape; spraying disinfectants, killing mosquitoes and larvae in places where outbreaks are likely to occur; minimizing the use of plastic bags, ensuring safety in the use of pesticides, etc.

In particular, the Rehabilitation Center always focuses on propaganda work and screening of environmental documentaries to raise awareness of environmental protection for staff and students at the Center. Topics such as "For a cleaner world"; "The harmful effects of environmental pollution on human life"; "Rejecting single-use plastics and non-biodegradable plastic bags"... are regularly broadcast on the internal radio system and in collective activities of staff and students.

It can be seen that in recent times, Phuoc Binh Drug Rehabilitation Center has always paid attention to protecting the living environment, because creating a safe, clean, and close-to-nature living environment also contributes to creating the unit's landscape and ensuring the health of students. The campus is always kept clean and beautiful, creating a relaxing feeling for students to feel secure in their treatment and activities.

In order to raise awareness of building a clean and green living environment for students, the leaders of the facility have always attached importance to propaganda work, mobilizing civil servants, workers and students to join hands in building and protecting the environment. With the motto of cleanliness not only in the rooms, common living areas but also in the unit's campus. Along with that, students are also educated about community awareness in maintaining public hygiene. Household waste is collected in designated places. Fertilizers used for planting trees are environmentally friendly.
