Da Nang police warn of scams during high school graduation exams

On June 6, Da Nang City Police issued a warning to parents and students about emerging scams during the national high school graduation exam season.

Accordingly, taking advantage of the stressful review period, criminals use social networks and phones to approach and profit.

According to Da Nang City Police, many parents and students have recently received calls and text messages from people claiming to beeducation officials or "acquaintances" with connections in the Ministry of Education and Training.

These subjects promise to “guarantee passing”, “increase scores” and “interfere with exam results” at high costs. The purpose is to make parents trust and transfer money to ensure their children’s exam results. However, after receiving the money, the criminals immediately cut off contact and disappeared, leaving no trace.

In addition, on many social networking platforms, there are advertisements selling exam papers with the claim of "having original answers", "guaranteed high scores" and expensive prices.

Some individuals and organizations even open crash courses with the commitment of “sure passing”, collect tuition fees but then organize the classes in a sketchy manner or even not at all. As a result, many students lose time before the exam, and parents suffer financial losses.

The Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention - Da Nang City Police recommends that people need to be vigilant and absolutely do not believe in advertisements for selling exam questions, raising scores, and guaranteeing passing on the internet.

The high school graduation exam is strictly confidential under the supervision of the Ministry of Education and Training and the police force, so there is no possibility of the exam being leaked. When candidates receive an admission notice from a school they have not registered with, they should check the information on the school's official website or call the public phone number directly to verify.
