Dong Nai police temporarily detained 3 suspects to investigate the act of producing and trading counterfeit goods.

(Chinhphu.vn) - On November 5, the Investigation Police Agency of Dong Nai Province Police announced that it had issued an arrest warrant for three suspects to investigate the production and trade of counterfeit goods at EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company. The above warrants were approved by the People's Procuracy of the same level.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vu, born in 1978, residing in Tan Thuan ward, Ho Chi Minh City, was temporarily detained for the crime of producing and trading counterfeit goods.

The defendants who were temporarily detained include: Dinh Van Lien (born in 1981, residing in Long Binh ward, Dong Nai province); Nguyen Thi Tuyen (born in 1982, residing in Tam Hiep ward, Dong Nai province); Nguyen Quoc Vu (born in 1978, residing in Tan Thuan ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

Previously, the Investigation Police Agency of Dong Nai Province Police discovered that: EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company (address: Road No. 6, Giang Dien Industrial Park, Trang Bom Commune, Dong Nai Province), with Dinh Van Lien as Deputy General Director but in fact the owner, cooperated to produce Hanayuki Sunscreen Body sunscreen products with VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited (headquartered at Dai Thanh Binh Building, No. 911-913-915-917, Nguyen Trai, Cho Lon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) with Nguyen Quoc Vu as General Director and owner.

Around January 2025, at EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company, Dinh Van Lien produced and sold 1,652 fake Hanayuki Sunscreen Body products. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Deputy General Director, produced 1,652 fake Hanayuki Sunscreen Body products. Nguyen Quoc Vu, General Director of VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited, sold 1,652 fake Hanayuki Sunscreen Body products.

The actions of Dinh Van Lien, Nguyen Thi Tuyen and Nguyen Quoc Vu constitute the crime of "Producing and trading in counterfeit goods", as prescribed in Article 192 of the 2015 Penal Code.

Initially, the defendants confessed to the crime. As a result of the search, the police temporarily seized many vehicles, machines, records, and documents related to the production and sale of fake Hanayuki Sunscreen Body from the defendants.

Dong Nai police continue to investigate and verify the case.
