Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, and Ba Ria - Vung Tau police coordinate to prepare for the merger.

On May 26, in Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City Police coordinated with Binh Duong Provincial Police and Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police to organize a working session to prepare work contents to serve the merger process according to the policy of rearranging and reorganizing administrative units at the provincial and centrally-run city levels.

Co-chairing the meeting were Lieutenant General Le Hong Nam, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police; Colonel Ta Van Dep, Director of Binh Duong Provincial Police; Colonel Vu Nhu Ha, Director of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police, with the participation of representatives of the Party Committee Standing Committee, Board of Directors and leaders of professional departments of the three units.

At the meeting, the Public Security of the three localities discussed and evaluated the results of implementing a number of work aspects; identified difficulties and obstacles; and proposed solutions to ensure the organization and apparatus operate effectively and efficiently without interruption during the transition period.

A key content is to unify the establishment of the Steering Committee for the merger of Ho Chi Minh City Police and the Steering Committee's Working Group according to the provisions of Circular No. 09/2025/TT-BCA and Circular No. 34/2023/TT-BCA of the Ministry of Public Security . The Steering Committee will be responsible for organizing and comprehensively operating the work of reorganizing the police apparatus in the area after the merger.

The three units also agreed on the contents of coordination to prepare for the organization of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term after completing the merger.

In the coming time, the functional departments will review, identify and agree on the content of the work to be handed over, fully prepare the conditions in terms of organization, staff, facilities... to ensure that the transfer of tasks is carried out synchronously, promptly, and in accordance with the direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security.
