Dong Thai Commune Police temporarily detained a subject who escaped from a drug rehabilitation facility.

On July 29, Dong Thai Commune Police (An Giang Province) said they had detained a subject wanted for one day after escaping from a compulsory drug rehabilitation facility.

Previously, Nguyen Ba Luong (born in 1993, residing in Thach Ha commune, Ha Tinh province) was sent to Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 4 ( Ho Chi Minh City). Late on July 25, Luong escaped.

On July 26, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police issued a decision to search for Luong. On the same day, Dong Thai Commune Police ( An Giang Province) discovered a suspicious stranger in Dong Thanh Hamlet. Through administrative inspection, Dong Thai Commune Police identified him as Nguyen Ba Luong and detained him.

Luong confessed to all his actions and the process of hiding. At noon on July 28, Dong Thai Commune Police completed the paperwork and handed over the subject to the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police for handling according to their authority.

Through the work of reviewing the area after the arrangement of administrative units and promoting the effectiveness of mass mobilization work, since July 1st until now, Dong Thai Commune Police have arrested 2 wanted subjects and searched for them as soon as they arrived in the area.
