In 2025, the Gifted High School will enroll 595 students. According to the school's statistics, there are 3,375 candidates taking the exam. The overall competition ratio is 1 to 5.6.

District 5 campus (153 Nguyen Chi Thanh, Ward 9, District 5, HCMC) is organized in the form of one-session study, including 7 specialized classes: Math, Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, Literature. The total quota is 245 students, each class has no more than 35 students.

Specialized classes at District 5 will focus on training in-depth knowledge of specialized subjects, improving logical thinking skills, combined with STEMeducational activities, experiential activities and career guidance in the orientation to become an expert in a specific field related to the subject.

The campus in Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City National University Urban Area) is organized as a semi-boarding school, including 10 specialized classes: Math (2 classes), IT (1 class), Physics (1 class), Chemistry (1 class), Biology (1 class), English (2 classes) and Literature (2 classes). The total quota is 350 students, each class has no more than 35 students.

Specialized classes at Thu Duc City campus will focus on training interdisciplinary thinking skills with a foundation of specialized subjects in solving problems in the fields of natural sciences - technology and social sciences such as: Natural sciences, life sciences, computers, business and management, technology, engineering, languages, culture, economics, politics , society... combined with experiential activities to orient related careers.

According to regulations, candidates applying to the Gifted High School must take an exam in at least 4 subjects, including 3 non-specialized subjects: Math, Literature, English and choose from the remaining specialized subjects.
