When will university benchmark scores be announced?

Admission scores for universities and colleges in 2025 will be announced on the afternoon of August 20.

The registration period for university and college applications in 2025 officially closed at 5:00 p.m. on July 28. According to quick statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training , an impressive number was recorded: more than 7.6 million applications were registered, accounting for more than 73% of the total number of candidates. On average, each candidate selected nearly 9 applications.

Notably, this year the number of candidates registering for admission has increased by more than 115,000 compared to last year, partly thanks to more candidates from vocational colleges.

After "closing" their wishes, candidates need to pay the admission fee online from now until 5:00 p.m. on August 5.

From August 13 to August 15, the Ministry's units coordinated with training facilities to review the database on the system.

The virtual filtering process will start from August 16 to 5:00 p.m. on August 20. The virtual filtering system of the Ministry of Education and Training will be performed 6 times to produce the final selection results.

In addition to the general virtual filtering, training institutions can participate in the Northern virtual filtering group chaired by Hanoi University of Science and Technology and the Southern virtual filtering group chaired by Ho Chi Minh City National University.

At the decisive stage, training institutions will enter the admission scores (standard scores) and admission results into the system at 5:00 p.m. on August 20. At the same time, the units will review and prepare to announce the first round of admission results.

Thus, from the afternoon of August 20, universities can start announcing admission scores. The results of the first round of admission must be announced no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 22.

The general admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training will process and determine the highest wish among the wishes for which the candidate is eligible to be admitted.

Candidates confirm online admission for the first round on the common system of the Ministry of Education and Training before 5:00 p.m. on August 30.
