Announcement of the Decision of the National Assembly Standing Committee to establish Hong Son commune

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Son presented the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the merger of Hong Lac and Van Son communes to establish Hong Son commune.

Attending the announcement ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Manh Tuan, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Thi Thanh Tra, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of departments, branches, sectors, and units of the province; leaders of Son Duong district, representatives of specialized departments and agencies of the district; communes, towns and a large number of people of Hong Lac and Van Son communes.

At the ceremony, Resolution No. 1106/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated July 23, 2024 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Tuyen Quang province was announced. Accordingly, the entire natural area of ​​9.76 km ² , population of 6,038 people of Hong Lac commune and the entire natural area of ​​9.59 km ² , population of 3,538 people of Van Son commune were merged to establish Hong Son commune. After the merger, Hong Son commune has a total natural area of ​​19.35 km ² , population of 9,576 people . Hong Son commune borders Chi Thiet, Dong Quy, Hao Phu, Quyet Thang, Truong Sinh, Van Phu communes and Phu Tho province.

Provincial leaders presented flowers to congratulate the Party Committee, government and people of Hong Son commune.

The merger of the two communes is in line with the actual situation, implemented according to the policy of the Central Government, contributing to streamlining the state administrative apparatus, responding to the aspirations of the people, meeting the standards of area and population size. This will create favorable conditions, concentrating resources for local socio-economic development in the coming time.
Thus, after the administrative rearrangement, the whole Son Duong district has 29 communes and 1 town.   Tuyen Quang province has 7 district-level administrative units, including 1 city and 6 districts; 137 commune-level administrative units, including 121 communes, 10 wards and 6 towns.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Son acknowledged and commended the proactive spirit, responsibility, solidarity and high unity of all levels, branches, agencies and units of the province, of Son Duong district and the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Hong Lac and Van Son communes in performing the task of arranging commune-level administrative units in the 2023-2025 period of Tuyen Quang province.
He emphasized that the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units is a major policy of our Party and State to innovate and organize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently. Based on the policies, goals, tasks and solutions of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, the National Assembly and the Government, Tuyen Quang province has thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented the arrangement of administrative units in the province. The province has directed a thorough review of the current situation of district and commune-level administrative units; compared with the standards of administrative units according to current regulations; and identified administrative units that must be arranged in the period of 2023-2025. Through the results of the review and assessment, in Tuyen Quang province, there are 2 commune-level administrative units that must be arranged in the period of 2023-2025, which are Hong Lac commune and Van Son commune in Son Duong district.

He requested all levels and sectors of the province, the Party Committee and the government of Son Duong district and Hong Son commune to focus on doing a good job of propaganda, creating consensus and high unity among the people when implementing the contents of the work of arranging commune-level administrative units. At the same time, organize and perfect the organization and apparatus of Hong Son commune to ensure timeliness, compliance with regulations and instructions of competent authorities. Continue to review all facilities, assets, finances, documents, etc. to have plans for use and handling in accordance with the provisions of law, avoiding loss and waste. After establishing a new commune, it is necessary to pay attention and create favorable conditions for people, organizations and businesses to conduct transactions in the new administrative unit. Along with that, organize to fully implement the regimes and policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, and non-professional workers at the commune level who are redundant due to the arrangement of administrative units in accordance with regulations.

He also requested relevant agencies and units of the province and district to urgently guide and urge the organization of reviewing and assessing the new rural criteria of Hong Son commune. Pay attention to mobilizing resources to help Son Duong district in general and Hong Son commune in particular invest in building and completing the new rural commune criteria.
At the same time, review and carry out procedures to submit to competent authorities to adjust the provincial planning, establish and adjust the new urban master plan for Hong Son commune according to regulations, focus on investing in urban development and construction for Hong Son commune according to the criteria of type V urban areas and standards for establishing towns according to regulations...

On this occasion, Son Duong District announced decisions related to the organization and apparatus of the Party Committee of Hong Son Commune.
