According to the reporter, these days, at the construction site of the dam to prevent saltwater intrusion on the Cai River in Nha Trang, the working atmosphere is urgent and bustling day and night. The sound of excavators, bulldozers, and cranes resonates with the urgent steps of dozens of engineers and workers working hard. Dozens of modern equipment and vehicles are mobilized, operating in harmony with each construction item. All are aimed at speeding up progress, ensuring quality and absolute safety for this key project. The competitive atmosphere and the spirit of determination to complete the project on schedule spread strongly throughout the construction site.
Directly directing at the construction site, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hien - Director of the Provincial Development Project Management Board (the investor), said: "Although the project's site clearance work has been implemented since 2019, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the land acquisition was interrupted. It was not until 2022 that the People's Committee of Nha Trang City (old) was able to issue land acquisition decisions and approve compensation plans. In addition, the disagreement of some households was also the reason for the delay in handing over the site. In particular, some construction items are located on land belonging to the Ngoc Hoi Ring Road Project - this project has temporarily stopped construction. To resolve this situation, the Provincial People's Committee promptly approved the policy to allow the saltwater barrier dam project to receive compensation payments for 10 cases affected by the ring road project. With the participation and determination of relevant agencies, by June 2025, all site clearance work will be completed. The project's certificate has been completed and the land has been handed over to the contractor to construct the remaining items. Up to this point, all difficulties and problems have been resolved, and the project is entering the final stage.
