RYNAN Technology Joint Stock Company won the first prize of QVIC 2023 competition

On September 20, the final round of the Qualcomm Vietnam Innovation Challenge season 3 took place in Ho Chi Minh City.

Accordingly, the 3 winning companies in the final round of the QVIC 2023 program include: First prize belongs to RYNAN Technology JSC - Smart insect monitoring system; Second prize belongs to XB Technology LLC - drone delivery based on mobile connection and Third prize belongs to Benkon Corp. - energy-saving solution for air conditioners.

“The continued success of this program demonstrates the innovative power of the Vietnamese technology startup ecosystem,” said Alex Rogers, president of Qualcomm Technology Licensing and International Affairs, Qualcomm Inc. “We look forward to continuing to work with Vietnam’s leading OEMs and mobile network operators to support the industry and government in realizing the Industry 4.0 policy under the ‘Make in Vietnam’ goal.”

Vietnamese technology startups have been enhanced with breakthrough thinking capacity in researching and developing technological solutions to gradually solve challenges from large corporations. Through the competition and activities of consulting, coaching, training, testing support and market development, Vietnamese technology startups have been equipped with a solid foundation of knowledge and skills to integrate globally. The Qualcomm Vietnam Innovation Challenge is a pioneering initiative to support the national innovation startup ecosystem in the direction of open innovation.

Congratulating the three startup teams that have made it to the final round of the 2023 competition, Mr. Pham Hong Quat, Director of the National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Development (NATEC), Ministry of Science and Technology, affirmed: The program is in line with the Government's direction with the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology over the past 3 years and has achieved very positive results. At the same time, he hopes that Vietnamese technology startups will continue to participate in the program to effectively exploit the opportunities brought about by the Vietnam - US comprehensive strategic partnership in the coming period.

Established in 2019, QVIC was launched with the support of the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology and aims to incubate innovative startups in emerging technology areas. The program encourages the development of Vietnam’s emerging technology ecosystem by identifying and nurturing innovative small and medium-sized companies designing products in key technology areas such as 5G, IoT, robotics and drones, artificial intelligence, smart cities, wearables and multimedia using Qualcomm Technologies’ advanced mobile platforms and technologies. Taking advantage of the program’s patent filing incentives, QVIC startups have filed 29 patents in support of the program out of a total of more than 86 patents filed by the companies./.
