Discover the unique architecture of Thanh Ha Terracotta Park

The first impression when entering the park is the unique architecture inspired by the image of ancient pottery kilns of the craft village. Two large blocks representing the inverted kiln and the upright kiln, two traditional kiln types, are the center of the entire project. Surrounding them are functional areas spread over an area of about 6,000 m², creating a space that is both familiar with the terracotta material and modern and creative.

The park preserves more than a thousand ceramic products from the whole country and miniature world cultural heritages.

The characteristic reddish brown color of fired bricks covers every building, creating a cozy feeling, while honoring the rustic, enduring beauty of earth and fire.

Interesting activities when coming to Thanh Ha Terracotta Park

Admire ceramic art works

Here, visitors can admire hundreds of unique ceramic works created by Thanh Ha artisans as well as international artists. The most prominent area is the "Miniature World" area, which gathers ceramic models recreating famous architectural works such as Notre Dame Cathedral, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Giza Pyramids or the Great Wall of China...

Unique features on the wall are ceramic reliefs.

Every little detail is meticulously crafted from baked clay, demonstrating the incredible skill and craftsmanship of the artisan.

Pottery Experience

‏Not just standing and watching, you can completely roll up your sleeves and create your own ceramic product. At the experience area, under the enthusiastic guidance of artisans, you will be introduced to the process of creating shapes from clay: rotating the table, shaping, decorating.

The finished product can be taken home as a small gift with a personal touch. This is an experience not to be missed, especially if you are with children or a group of friends.

Participate in folk games

Besides pottery-related activities, the park also regularly organizes folk games such as clay figurine making, pot smashing, tug of war, bamboo dancing, etc.

These games not only bring laughter but also help visitors feel the familiar traditional culture of Vietnamese people.

Check-in at famous ceramic works

The entire park is an ideal virtual living space with countless unique photo angles. From giant ceramic statues, terracotta miniatures to stylized kiln architecture, every detail is very "photogenic".

Especially during the hours of light sunlight or sunset, the terracotta color stands out against the sky, making your photos vibrant and artistic.

‏Shopping for souvenirs‏

‏Before ending the journey, don’t forget to stop by the small shops on campus to choose and buy some lovely ceramic items. From vases, cups to small statues… all are handmade, each product carries a very unique earthy soul. This will definitely be a delicate and meaningful gift to bring back to friends or keep as a souvenir.‏

Notes when going to Thanh Ha Terracotta Park

The park is open from 8am to 5pm every day, you should go in the morning or afternoon to avoid the harsh sunlight and have more time to experience. The road is quite easy, however, if you go by motorbike, remember to check the gas and bring personal drinking water. With the space mainly outdoors, bring a hat, umbrella or sunscreen.

‏Because there are many fragile ceramic products on display here, if you are with children, you should pay attention to avoid collisions. Another important thing is to respect the art space, do not touch the displayed works with no touching signs.

Thanh Ha Terracotta Park is not only a unique art space, but also a place that helps visitors connect with the long-standing cultural traditions of a famous pottery village.

Just a few kilometers from Hoi An, it offers a completely different experience, quiet, profound and full of creativity. If you are used to the small streets with bright lanterns, then a morning wandering among the earth and pottery here will be a great choice to refresh your journey of discovering Hoi An.
