As expected by experts, female weightlifter Chau Hoang Tuyet Loan has excellently won 2 more gold medals for the Vietnamese delegation at the 12th Southeast Asian Games for the Disabled (ASEAN Para Games 12).

On the afternoon of June 5, at the Techo Sen National Center for the Disabled, Weightlifter Tuyet Loan competed in the Women's 55kg weightlifting event with Weightlifter Hat Motnok (Thai) and Weightlifter Denesia Apote Esnara (Philippines). Tuyet Loan was successful in all three registered weights, 91kg, 95kg and 98kg respectively.

Meanwhile, her closest rival, Hat Motnok, was only successful at the first two weights of 78kg and 80kg, and failed at the final weight of 82kg.

Thanks to that, Tuyet Loan won the Gold medal for the best weightlifting result of 98kg and the total weight after 3 attempts of 284kg - 126kg more than the runner-up.

Notably, Tuyet Loan also successfully conquered the additional weight of 105kg to "break" the old record (104kg) set by herself at the congress.

In addition to Chau Hoang Tuyet Loan's achievement, the Vietnamese Weightlifting Team also won 3 more Silver medals on the afternoon of June 5, thanks to the total lifts of athletes Nguyen Be Hau (65kg class) - 398kg, Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy (61kg class) - 169kg and Tran Thi Chau (67kg class - 252kg.

The above weightlifters also won Bronze medals for their weightlifting performance in the competition.

Meanwhile, Athlete Nguyen Van Phuc (59kg category) won 2 Bronze medals for weightlifting (135kg) and total lift (395kg).

Thus, after 2 days of competition, the Weightlifting Team contributed to the Vietnam Sports Delegation for the Disabled 8 Gold medals, 5 Silver medals and 5 Bronze medals./.
