According to the project of Tam Ky City People's Committee, the entire natural area and population size of Phuoc Hoa ward (area of 0.66km2 , rate of 12% and population of 5,627 people, rate of 80.3% compared to the prescribed standard) and An Xuan ward (area of 1.09km2 , rate of 19.81% and population of 12,953 people, rate of 185% compared to the prescribed standard) will be merged to establish An Xuan ward.
The new ward administrative unit has a natural area of 1.75km2 , reaching 31.82% and a population of 18,580 people, reaching 265.4% of the prescribed standard. The working headquarters is the current headquarters of the An Xuan Ward People's Committee.
In Phuoc Hoa ward, 3,005 voters (100%) participated in the survey by ballot distributed to each household. As a result, 2,991 voters agreed (99.53%) and 14 voters disagreed (0.47%) with the content of the project to merge Phuoc Hoa ward and An Xuan ward.
Similarly, in An Xuan ward, 6,583 voters participated in the poll (100%). As a result, 6,558 voters agreed (99.62%) and 25 voters disagreed (0.38%) with the content of the project to merge commune-level administrative units in the 2023-2025 period of the Tam Ky City People's Committee.
