According to VTC News reporters, the discounted shoes are mostly outdated or oversized. If you are willing to wear old shoes or have "oversized" feet, this is not a bad choice because the price is very cheap.

In addition to shoes, many clothing stores on Cach Mang Thang Tam Street also took advantage of the opportunity to offer "floor-breaking" discounts. Here, shirts, t-shirts and jeans are priced from only 50,000 - 100,000 VND. These prices have been reduced by 50 - 70% compared to normal prices.

Affordable clothes, under 100,000 VND/piece, are chosen by many people.

Mr. Ngo Van Thang works as a delivery man in the Hoa Hung market area (District 10). He only has time to buy clothes on December 28. Due to his limited financial capacity, he only buys affordable shirts.

“I bought shirts for 100,000 VND each. I chose 2 and bought 2 more T-shirts for my son,” Mr. Thang said.

According to Mr. Thang, he often buys clothes near Tet because the prices are discounted more deeply than usual.

Like Mr. Thang, Ms. Nguyen Lan Anh (living in District 5) is also a "sale hunter" during Tet. Ms. Lan Anh often walks through streets such as Nguyen Trai (District 5) or Le Van Sy, Huynh Van Banh (Phu Nhuan District) to buy clothes during this time. Many clothing models priced at over 1 million VND are only reduced to 300,000 - 400,000 VND.

“I just bought a Blazer for only 480,000 VND, while 10 days ago, this shirt was still priced at 1.2 million VND, a 60% discount,” said Ms. Lan Anh.

Many big brands also offer deep discounts to attract customers.

According to Ms. Tran Hong Van, owner of a fashion store on Le Van Sy Street (Phu Nhuan District), the store is still very crowded with customers near Tet. Revenue has increased 2-3 times compared to normal days thanks to the sale of discounted products.

Ms. Van said that the store had to take advantage of the opportunity to "clear" old models to import new products after Tet. Therefore, the prices of clothes in the days before Tet were very good, many products were even sold at cost price.

According to VTC News, before Tet, many big fashion brands in Ho Chi Minh City continue to reduce prices by 50-70%. The "floor-breaking" price reduction has attracted a large number of customers to come shopping. These are busy customers who have not had time to shop before.
