Together we act to “heal” the blue ocean

Vietnam has a coastline of more than 3,260km with more than 3,000 islands. The sea plays a very important role in the development and integration of Vietnam, as a "green lung" against climate change. In the strategy of exploiting and using marine resources with a vision to 2050, Vietnam aims to become a strong marine country, rich from the sea, protecting biodiversity and the marine environment.

Every year, communities across the country carry out many meaningful activities, projects, and programs to join hands in ocean conservation. In response to the recent World Oceans Day (June 8, 2025), many communities, young people in the country and foreigners working in Vietnam simultaneously launched many activities, programs, and weeks of action to clean up the coast and collect plastic waste to contribute to "healing" the blue ocean.
