Coming to the 700m2 cactus garden of Mr. Nguyen Huu Trung (31 years old, in Quarter 3, Bao An Ward, Phan Rang - Thap Cham City), everyone is impressed by the 3,000 pots of hybrid cacti blooming brilliantly with nearly 300 colors.
Mr. Trung said that he had previously tried many types of locally sourced cacti but they were not effective.
To satisfy his passion and love for this plant, in 2020 he went online to learn, connected with forums, groups, flower distributors and imported more than 600 Lobivia cactus flower buds originating from Thailand, each bud costs 150,000 - 200,000 VND/bud.
After that, Mr. Trung successfully researched and crossbred Lobivia cactus seedlings using manual methods, creating beautiful flower clusters with brilliant colors.
