Sweeping away distorted arguments, brightening up the spirit of the Great Festival - Part 1: Sweeping away "trash" with dialectical thinking

The grand celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 / April 30, 2025) has attracted the special attention of the entire Party, people, and army; patriotic overseas Vietnamese and peace-loving friends around the world. The positive influence and strong spread of the commemorative activities have made hostile forces and reactionary elements bitter, and they have intensified their propaganda campaigns to distort and sabotage...

The rubbish of political farce

Following the distorted information on social media platforms released and spread by hostile forces, aiming to distort and sabotage the "National Day" on April 30, with logical thinking, we clearly see that it is a type of "rehashing", disguised and deceptive under the cover of modern technology. That "rehashing" is reactionary content and information. After 50 years since the country was reunited, the ideology of national hatred is still being gnawed at and clung to by hostile subjects in order to swap concepts, turn black into white about the resistance war against the US to save the country.

The so-called “national day of hatred”, “black April”, “desire for national restoration”… they “chew over and over” bitterly and increasingly increase the nature, level and scope of “coverage”. Every time our country organizes activities to celebrate “National Reunification Day”, the media with hostile ideology immediately brings out this outdated and out-of-date ideology and thinking to spread.

During the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, this refrain was heard again on social media platforms. They colluded to establish so-called "committees" and "councils" in the United States and some Western countries, carried out by "remnants" of the Saigon puppet regime before 1975, such as: "Organizing Committee for the 50th Anniversary of National Hatred on April 30", "Leading Council for the 50th Anniversary Event..." and "Vietnamese Refugee Communities", "National Restoration Councils"... They gathered, carried the "three-striped" flag, wore puppet army uniforms, organized farce called "demonstrations", "marchs", "parades", "discussing the situation in Vietnam after 50 years..." and then recorded videos and posted them on social media platforms to "promote prestige", "poster", "make a scene"...

Calling these things trash and ridiculous because the so-called “forces” and “armies” participating in the “march” and “parade” are only a few groups of people, most of whom are old and sick, and many of whom have unsteady steps, crawling and mumbling slogans. Under these reactionary and offensive videos, many people have left critical and mocking comments, such as: “Save your energy to eat porridge”, “All your teeth are gone, what are you shouting about anymore”, “You can’t walk steadily and still pretend to “restore the country”…

One of the exiled reactionary organizations with a high frequency of distorted information on social media platforms, opposing the April 30, 2025 National Day, is the terrorist organization "Viet Tan". This organization is led by Ly Thai Hung. With the trick of shifting its activities from armed terrorism to "non-violent struggle", "Viet Tan" has been taking advantage of cyberspace utilities, using AI to propagate, spread reactionary and populist information and ideas. From the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025 to now, "Viet Tan" has been carrying out a series of large-scale, multi-directional, multi-channel propaganda campaigns, taking advantage of websites, Facebook pages..., using AI to increase the reach and interaction of people in the country, spreading demagogic information, and opposing the country. They compiled and distributed documents such as: "New Year greetings", "Documents of Vietnam's half-century of backwardness and the way out for the future"... with content denying the achievements of the April 30, 1975 revolution, accusing Vietnam of violating human rights, freedom and democracy; labeling Vietnam as "lagging behind" economically ; thereby inciting people to gather, protest, cause riots, overthrow the people's government; paving the way for reactionary forces to "restore the nation"...

Look at the big picture to see the essence clearly

It must be said right away that the media activities of a deceptive, distorting, inciting, and sabotaging revolutionary achievements in Vietnam carried out by hostile forces are not a new topic. Right after the Liberation of the South and the Unification of the country 50 years ago, while we were trying to rebuild our lives, implement policies of national reconciliation, and join hands to build the country, opposing elements also plotted to sabotage. They expressed their intention to overthrow the people's government, destroy the revolutionary achievements, and cause political instability in the country. A group of Vietnamese exiles abroad have colluded and formed reactionary organizations, with the "breathing" and "support" of international forces with hostile ideologies to the Vietnamese revolution, to carry out terrorist and riotous activities. In addition to armed activities to “transfer fire to the homeland”, they have strengthened their media network, used Vietnamese-language broadcasting channels, and aimed their “spearheads” at the country to spread propaganda and incite sabotage. Their goal is to shake the ideological battlefield, cause people to lose confidence, disrupt social order... to take advantage of the opportunity to carry out riots and overthrow the government.

In particular, after the collapse of the socialist model in the Soviet Union and Eastern European countries in the early 90s of the 20th century, the socialist system fell into crisis and decline, and the level, scope, and nature of the hostile forces' distorted and sabotage media campaigns increased. However, historical reality and social life; the country's foundation and position have proven that no force, no plot can break the solid wall of the people's hearts in Vietnam. We have maintained the revolutionary achievements, repelled and gradually defeated the "peaceful evolution" plot of hostile forces; successfully carried out the renovation process, deeply and effectively integrated into the international community, and brought the country to sustainable development.

Recalling these general issues helps us have a comprehensive view of the current fight to protect the Fatherland in cyberspace. The reason for emphasizing this is because many people, when exposed to distorted and malicious information on cyberspace, have "forgotten" the method of thinking and reasoning about problems according to dialectical logic. Instead, they see the phenomenon but not the essence, see the trees but not the forest; are like "blind fortune tellers examining an elephant"; "skimming", "cutting off the top", etc. The "gossip", "herd syndrome", and the unstable political and ideological stance of a small part of the public are gaps in the ideological battlefield that hostile forces take advantage of to widen and deepen in order to "parasitize" and "parasitize" wrong, reactionary, and anti-national viewpoints.

Through populist tricks, disguised and covered under the guise of polished language, using AI as a tool, the distorted and malicious information of hostile forces has lured some gullible, credulous people, extremists, opportunists, and those lacking in courage and political awareness. Unfortunately, among them are some isolated cases belonging to the intellectual and artistic class. Their personal pages on social networking platforms have a large number of followers and interactions. In the past, these people made certain contributions to the cause of culture and art. However, due to their lack of courage and political awareness, they have degraded their political ideology, and have been hailed by hostile forces as "heroes", using social networks to make statements that go against the Party's policies and guidelines and the interests of the nation, undermining the Party's ideological foundation.

Mr. Nguyen Cao Ky (1930-2011), former Prime Minister, former Vice President of the Saigon puppet regime, when he was still alive, indignantly spoke out: “Vietnam was not lost to the West or China, so why restore it?... And I once asked, if they truly love their country, they should know how to sit still and think, not follow a bunch of thugs, greedy for fame and profit, deceiving everyone. They just deceive people in the name of national justice, in the name of freedom and democracy, in the name of anti-communism and democracy.”

I think there is no need to comment further on these frank statements, clearly aware of "right and wrong", because they have contributed to exposing the truth and nature of the discontented, opportunistic, and traitorous elements of the Fatherland. Reiterating this is to once again help readers have multi-dimensional, objective perspectives, political vision and dialectical methodology when approaching, analyzing, evaluating, and expressing attitudes towards the bad and toxic information that is currently appearing rampantly on cyberspace...
