Previously, on the afternoon of September 18, Mr. LVB, a worker at a company in Tan Trieu ward, was unfortunately electrocuted while working. Mr. B. fell into cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest, and was then taken to Ai Nghia Thanh Phu General Clinic for emergency treatment.
Master, Doctor Nguyen Dinh Tri, Deputy General Director of Ai Nghia Medical System, said: Immediately upon receiving the patient, the clinic's Emergency Resuscitation team activated and performed emergency treatment: chest compressions combined with respiratory support, endotracheal intubation to establish an airway, electric shock to convert the heart rate, advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ACLS), and at the same time, squeezing the balloon and coordinating many other resuscitation techniques to save the patient.
Thanks to timely and proper intervention, after only a few minutes the patient's heart started beating again, blood pressure stabilized and he began to respond to painful stimuli. After his vital signs stabilized, Mr. B. was immediately transferred to Dong Nai General Hospital for further monitoring and intensive treatment.
Recently, hospitals in the province have used the command hypothermia technique to save the lives of many patients who were electrocuted and admitted to the hospital in a state of cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest, such as Thong Nhat Dong Nai General Hospital and Dong Nai Children's Hospital.
