Lien Chieu District Youth Union organized the program “Summer Day in the Army” for 112 young students. The activity took place over 9 days at the 375th Air Defense Division (Cam Le District). The program helped the children experience the environment of training in military discipline and order.
During the participation, students are instructed in the following contents: practicing team commands; basic postures and movements in combat; folding and arranging internal affairs; sports exchanges, group dancing and singing; practicing life skills (fire prevention and fighting; safe use of social networks; first aid, escape...). Secretary of Lien Chieu District Youth Union Huynh Thanh Binh said that through summer activities, it helps young people stay away from social evils, limit watching TV and using phones, and enjoy a happy and complete summer.
The University of Education (University of Danang) launched the “Green Summer” program with 11 teams and 150 volunteers. The program focuses on child care and communityeducation with impressive activities such as: practicing beautiful handwriting for 50 disadvantaged students; training reading skills for 100 students; organizing 2 math and literature classes for students in Hoa Bac commune, Hoa Vang district, etc.
In addition, the program has many useful extracurricular activities such as: folk games, cultural exchanges, giving books, and granting scholarships to encourage poor students to overcome difficulties. Through this, the children not only have access to knowledge but also have their spirit nurtured, encouraged, and strived in their studies and life. Meanwhile, the Hoa Xuan Ward Youth Union (Cam Le District) is recruiting students for a free swimming class for children in the area. Participating in the teaching are professional teachers and coaches, who enthusiastically guide and accompany the children throughout the learning process.
This summer, the City Youth Union continues to innovate and diversify summer activities to meet the needs of children for healthy entertainment. From June 1 to August 31, the City Youth Union will implement many outstanding programs such as: "Children's Festival"; "Sharing love - helping children go to school", giving gifts to disadvantaged students; training to support mental health care skills; children's dance group festival... Previously, the City Youth Union - City Youth Union Council trained on "Improving the quality of organizing summer activities for grassroots Youth Union and Youth Union officials".
Accordingly, training on traditional education and national pride for children participating in summer activities; some skills in organizing collective activities. Thereby, contributing to equipping professional knowledge, skills and improving the ability to organize and direct the work of the Youth Union and youth movements for the team of Youth Union cadres of wards and communes; creating conditions for exchange, learning and sharing experiences, introducing new models and good practices.
Ms. Le Ngoc Nhien Ha, Head of the School Youth Union (City Youth Union) said that currently, the unit is coordinating to organize free English teaching in districts; opening free swimming classes to equip children with life skills; at the same time, organizing many online competitions and launching children's trends on social networks to increase the application of digital transformation in summer activities.
In particular, the activities are aimed at stabilizing, ensuring children's activities are on schedule, and strengthening close coordination between localities and schools. In particular, this year's summer activities also focus on supporting students in practicing soft skills, developing creative thinking, enhancing responsibility and teamwork through practical experience models, interactive playgrounds and community activities.
