Da Nang cooperates with Quang Nam to solve the shortage and stabilize sand prices in the market.

Specifically, according to the feedback from investors in construction investment projects and households building individual houses, the current situation of construction sand in Da Nang city is extremely scarce and the price of sand has increased dramatically, greatly affecting the implementation of public investment projects, private investment as well as households building individual houses in the area. At the same time, the sudden increase in sand prices affects the prices of products made from this material such as commercial concrete.

Over the past years, most of the construction projects in Da Nang city have used construction sand from neighboring areas, mainly from sand mines in Quang Nam province. Prices in public investment projects are mostly based on the price list of the Department of Construction of Quang Nam province announced for the mine in Dai Loc district.

Currently, according to Notice No. 82/TB-SXD dated April 15, 2025 of the Department of Construction of Quang Nam on the announcement of construction material prices in March 2025 and updated prices in the first quarter of 2025 in Quang Nam province and Notice No. 123/TB-SXD dated May 9, 2025 of the Department of Construction of Quang Nam on the announcement of additional construction material prices in the first quarter of 2025 and updated construction material prices for materials with fluctuations in Quang Nam province received by the Department of Construction in April 2025, the price of sand at Dai An and Dai Loc gathering sites scooped up by trucks is 190,000 VND/ ^m3 , this price is the lowest and the location is closest to Da Nang.

Meanwhile, through market price surveys, as well as reported data from investors of public investment projects in Da Nang city such as the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Traffic and Agricultural Works in Da Nang, the Management Board of Projects and Site Clearance of Son Tra district, reported market prices (reported by contractors) for construction sand and plastering sand range from 650,000-800,000 VND/ ^m3 ; the market price is high but there is no source of supply and the price has no invoice.

Therefore, to solve the shortage and stabilize sand prices in the market, the People's Committee of Da Nang city requests the People's Committee of Quang Nam province to pay attention to solutions for each content:

Regarding sand prices, it is recommended that the People's Committee of Quang Nam province assign the Department of Construction of Quang Nam province to check and update the price adjustment so that the announced price of construction materials is consistent with the market price according to the provisions of Circular No. 01/2025/TT-BXD dated January 22, 2025 of the Minister of Construction. In case the announced price is consistent with the market price and no adjustment is made, it is recommended that a written response be sent to the Department of Construction of Da Nang city for information as a basis for responding to organizations and individuals.

Regarding the scarcity of materials, the People's Committee of Da Nang City requested the People's Committee of Quang Nam Province to assign competent agencies to work with the mine management unit, inspect the exploitation situation, and stabilize material prices.
