Da Nang will organize a seminar on "Positioning and developing an international financial center"

The Standing Vice Chairman of Da Nang City, Mr. Ho Ky Minh, has just signed Plan No. 146/KH-UBND on organizing the Seminar "Positioning and developing the Vietnam International Financial Center in Da Nang City - Opportunities to attract transactions and investments".

The seminar is scheduled to take place on November 6 and 7 at the Da Nang City Administrative Center in both in-person and online formats.

The content of the Seminar focused on two main topics: "Attracting sustainable financial services to the Vietnam International Financial Center in Da Nang" and "Developing a competitive ecosystem for digital assets - International experience and development trends".

Discussion sessions at the Forum will cover key areas such as trade finance, sustainable finance and green finance, digital asset development, building commodity exchanges, non-deposit lending models and promoting innovation in Fintech...

Da Nang City will organize a seminar on "Positioning and developing the Vietnam International Financial Center in the City".

Da Nang city is currently accelerating the process of forming an international financial center.

Accordingly, Da Nang city has sent a document requesting the Prime Minister to approve the policy of adjusting the Da Nang City Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, according to a simplified procedure.

In particular, planning and arranging more than 300 hectares of land right in the city center, within a radius of 5-10 km from Da Nang International Airport.

In addition, there is a plan to build a financial district reclaimed from the sea in Da Nang Bay, connecting the financial center with free trade zones and resort tourism , ensuring working and living space according to international standards. Construction of a 20-storey building with a floor area of over 27,000 m² at Software Park No. 2 is ready to serve as the initial headquarters for the international financial center...

To prepare conditions to support the formation of the International Financial Center ecosystem, Da Nang City also focuses on developing connecting infrastructure and infrastructure to support the formation of the Vietnam International Financial Center ecosystem in Da Nang City.

At the same time, deploy the trial operation of the international financial center's operating agency; develop a draft of one-stop administrative procedures and a membership registration process to apply to the Vietnam International Financial Center;

Da Nang City has also researched and developed a project to establish a platform, a digital asset trading floor, digital currency, and digital payments in the Da Nang City International Financial Center after its establishment.

Issued an Open Letter to organizations and enterprises participating in the Vietnam International Financial Center in Da Nang City, attached with a sample Letter of Interest to become a member of the International Financial Center. Up to now, more than 40 organizations and enterprises have sent letters of interest, of which 20% are from Singapore, Europe, UAE, Hong Kong...
