Following the success of the Hanoi Autumn Festival 2023, this year the Hanoi Autumn Festival 2024 is organized with the theme of Historic Autumn on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the Capital on October 10 to promote the beauty and cultural and historical values, honoring famous landscapes, destinations, relics and heritages.
In tune with the historic autumn, the Autumn Impression Fashion Show is considered the highlight of the Hanoi Autumn Festival. With the performance stage located right in the center and the artistic staging of professional directors, it created a spectacular fashion night of 8 designers from the Vietnam Ao Dai Cultural Club.
On the traditional Ao Dai background, each designer expressed their own perspective, creative exploration and even stylization to make this familiar costume richer and more novel. The program was directed by designer Hoang Ly - President of the Vietnam Ao Dai Culture Club.
8 designers received flowers and cups from the Organizing Committee at the show at Hanoi Autumn Festival 2024.
8 designers brought collections such as: Green Bamboo Collection - Imprint of Vietnamese beauty by designer Hoang Ly, Color of time by designer Trinh Kim Hanh, Autumn color of Hanoi by designer Huong Vai, DAISY Children's Evening Collection by designer Pham Gia Hung, Phuong Vu Ao Dai Collection by designer Luu Nhan, Southern fragrance collection by designer Thien Vu, Mountain and forest flowers collection by designer Do Nhu Quynh, Autumn lotus Ao Dai Collection by designer Hoa Ly Vu, Autumn Ha Noi Ao Dai Collection by designer Luan Nguyen.
Designer Hoang Ly chose bamboo as the creative inspiration for this collection to convey the message of preserving and developing Vietnamese bamboo, bringing green back to the Earth. Bamboo is close to Vietnamese people, a symbol of resilience, indomitability and at the same time contains a rustic, simple beauty. "Under the shade of green bamboo, we preserve an ancient culture. Green bamboo provides shade. Bamboo serves our daily lives. Wherever bamboo grows, it grows green and simple. Bamboo has strength, flexibility and a noble, simple beauty. Therefore, bringing this iconic, familiar image to the ao dai also means conveying a long-standing cultural and historical story to viewers," said designer Hoang Ly.

What is more special, designer Hoang Ly also attached images of famous cities of Vietnam to the ao dai, such as Hoan Kiem Lake - Hanoi, Floating Market - Can Tho, Hue Imperial City - Thua Thien Hue, Ha Long Bay - Quang Ninh, terraced fields - Lao Cai, Trang An - Ninh Binh, Ban Gioc Waterfall - Cao Bang and many other famous places in the country. On the background of high-quality silk material, the designs of Vietnamese Bamboo are described with talented brush strokes, applying the art of painting with bright colors, helping the image of the Bamboo tree become vivid, sparkling as if dancing on the soft silk fabric. In addition, the motifs are all printed in 4D and attached with thousands of sparkling crystals. With precise cutting and sewing techniques, the ao dai become extremely graceful and charming... conveying the message of promoting Vietnamese tourism through the ao dai.
Notably, during the show, the Vietnam Ao Dai Culture Club auctioned 7 Ao Dai sets to raise funds for charity to support people in the North affected by storm No. 3.
