At the program launch, Ho Chi Minh City National University signed a cooperation agreement with 10 enterprises such as VNG, ACB , Cottecons... to unify the implementation of a common cooperation framework in 6 priority areas: Developing high-quality human resources, Promoting research and technology transfer, Applying digital transformation, Innovation and startups, Sustainable development and social responsibility and Building policies and coordination mechanisms of "3 houses".
In addition to the general cooperation framework, businesses also announce a number of specialized cooperation contents, based on the needs and specific fields of operation of the business.
Notably, VNG committed to cooperating with Ho Chi Minh City National University and its member schools to train at least 1,000 high-quality students through joint programs between the two sides, and is expected to support 25 billion VND for Research and Development activities within the next 3 years.
In addition, this enterprise will also implement initiatives to promote startups and commercialize science and technology initiatives. VNG will open an Artificial Intelligence Research and Laboratory right at the VNG Campus headquarters, sponsoring workspaces and GPU computing capacity for university or independent research groups, similar to the co-working space model. This support from VNG aims to create conditions for research groups to publish results in prestigious international scientific journals, or further, have the opportunity to participate in presentations at leading specialized conferences on artificial intelligence, helping to enhance Vietnam's position on the world's scientific research map.
Sharing at the event, Ms. Tran Xuan Ngoc Thao, Director of Human Resources and Communications of VNG said: "From practical operations, VNG identifies that extensive cooperation between the State - Schools - Enterprises is not only a policy orientation, but is truly an inevitable trend, a fundamental solution to the problem of high-quality human resources and promoting national innovation".
Currently, VNG has nearly 1,000 employees - out of a total of more than 3,200 employees working, who are alumni of Ho Chi Minh City National University. Notably, many of them are holding key positions in the fields of Engineering, Product and Data. These "telling" numbers have shown the importance and effectiveness of deep and substantive cooperation between businesses and schools, especially when Vietnam is identifying using science and technology, innovation as breakthrough driving forces for growth.
