(NADS) - On the morning of December 9, 2024, at the Bac Giang Literature and Arts Association, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists of Bac Giang province held the Association Congress for the 2024 - 2029 term.
Attending the Congress were Musician Nguyen Tuan Khuong, Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations , Chairman of the Literature and Arts Association of Bac Giang province; Writer Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Vice Chairman of the Bac Giang Literature and Arts Association, Editor-in-Chief of Song Thuong Magazine; Artist Vu Manh Cuong, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.
In the 2019-2024 term, the Association has 6 members. Under the leadership and direction of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and the support and facilitation of the government and the Bac Giang Literature and Arts Association, the photographers of the Bac Giang Association of Photographic Artists have always been united and had many innovative and creative activities. The members have regularly accessed new information, documents and instructions from the Central, professional and local associations to improve their professional qualifications and participate in creative activities, submitting works to domestic and international competitions.
In the past, the association has had many members who won high awards such as Nguyen Huu Thong, Vuong Lam, The Dung, Viet Hung, Linh Giang... in the contests of Vietnam Art Photography, VNI International Art Photography, VN2, "Proud of a Border Strip", "Fatherland on the Shore of Waves", "80 Years of the Vietnam People's Army"... and participated in exhibitions and photo festivals in the Northern mountainous region every year.
The artists of the association have had many active activities and contributed to the local artistic activities in particular, the literary and artistic system in general, such as many artists bravely went to the Covid-19 epidemic area to compose and propagate; participated in creative camp activities, creative movements on the theme of the country, the province, the Bac Giang Literature and Arts Association... With the prestige and position of Vietnamese photography artists of Bac Giang province, in the past time, the association members have been invited to participate in many local art photography competitions and other cultural activities.
The congress took place in the morning with a spirit of solidarity and democracy, electing the new Executive Committee of the Association for the term (2024 - 2029) consisting of 2 members, NSNA Vuong Que Lam (Vuong Lam) was elected as the Association's Chairman, NSNA Nguyen Linh Giang was elected as the Association's Vice Chairman.
In the new term, the Association sets out the following goals: Limit weaknesses and promote strengths from the previous term. Improve the quality of the Association's creative trips and photo exhibitions and develop and recruit new members.
The Congress also elected a delegation to attend the 10th Congress of Vietnamese Artists (2025-2030) including 1 ex-officio delegate, 01 official delegate and 01 alternate delegate.
