The 1st Congress of Delegates of the Farmers' Association of Dai Loc Commune (term 2025 - 2030): Promoting the role of farmers as the main subject

Dai Loc Commune identifies the locality's journey in the coming years as further promoting the central role of farmers in agricultural development, rural economy and new rural construction.

Dai Loc Commune Farmers' Association organized a group to visit the guava growing model combined with green-skin grapefruit growing model of member Nguyen Van Vy; the green grape growing model of member Huynh Ngoc Minh (both residing in village 2, Dai Loc commune).

Mr. Huynh Duc Hoa, Chairman of the Farmers’ Association of Dai Loc Commune, said that the two members shared their experiences from seed selection, pruning techniques, fruiting in the right season and effective pest control measures. This is an agricultural economic model applying science and technology, initially showing effectiveness and can be replicated.

On a 1,000 square meter garden, Mr. Nguyen Van Vy's family planted 30 green-skinned pomelo trees that are now 3 years old, and 100 guava trees that are nearly 2 years old. Mr. Vy said that after visiting the fruit tree growing model in Thai Chan Son village (Thuong Duc commune), he decided to plant green-skinned pomelos, then guava. The last guava crop yielded more than 1 ton of fruit, sold for 20,000 VND/kg. In addition to gardening, he and his wife also do carpentry. The total annual income is more than 100 million VND.

According to Mr. Huynh Duc Hoa, term 2023 - 2028, the Farmers' Association of Dai Loc commune focuses on propaganda, guiding farmers to access and benefit from related mechanisms and policies associated with improving the quality of the emulation movement for good production and business. Thereby, many good farming households with good and creative ways of doing things have appeared, such as Mr. Dang Phi Long (Tich Phu village), Mr. Nguyen Van Quang (Dong Phu village), Mr. Nguyen Duc Phu (Nghia Phuoc village). The whole commune currently has 2 farms, more than 50 households with garden economic models, creating jobs for many rural workers.

Regarding social security, the Commune Farmers' Association has mobilized to give 50 bicycles and 10 savings books to poor students who are children of members; and to give 50 livelihoods to members. Through the "Natural Disasters" Fund, over the past 2 years, the Commune Farmers' Association has given 11 wheelchairs to disabled members; and given more than 1,000 gifts to officials and members on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin. Through the campaign, the association received 220 million VND from businesses and members to support the construction of 3 "farmer's homes"...

Promoting the role of the subject

Mr. Huynh Duc Hoa said that in the 2025 - 2030 term, the Farmers' Association of Dai Loc commune will continue to arouse aspirations and promote the role of farmers as the subject and center in agricultural development, rural economy and new rural construction.

The Association represents the legitimate rights and interests of farmers; is a bridge between farmers and the Party and the State; strengthens the great national unity bloc and the "worker - farmer - intellectual" alliance. Developing the collective economy associated with science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, green growth, value chain linkage...

Mr. Doan Ngoc Tuan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Dai Loc commune, said that in the 2025 - 2030 term, the Commune Farmers' Association needs to successfully carry out 3 breakthrough tasks.

First of all, the association needs to strongly innovate methods of gathering and uniting farmers; develop branches, groups, professional farmer associations, collective economy, and support the development of enterprises in the agricultural sector.

The Association trains and improves the qualifications and skills of its staff and members, especially digital skills, application of information technology, science and technology in production and business.

The Commune Farmers' Association will focus on developing production linkage models according to value chains, green agricultural production, organic agriculture; applying high technology to production, processing and consumption of agricultural products; developing OCOP products, collective economy; implementing linkage of "4 houses" including: State, scientists, businesses, farmers.

Support startups, innovation, agricultural production combined with experiential tourism, eco-tourism, and community tourism associated with traditional craft villages with local identity.

On that basis, the Commune Farmers' Association coordinates training, fostering, improving knowledge, skills, cooperative thinking, and association in production and business for farmers. The Association guides and supports members to become digital farmers, promotes the movement "Farmers compete in production and good business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably"; actively implements national target programs to contribute to completing the Resolution of the Congress of Delegates of Dai Loc Commune Party Committee for the term 2025 - 2030.
