The new headquarters of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Police Department is being built on an area of ​​9 hectares in Nam Nha Trang ward, with a total investment of over 900 billion VND.

On the morning of December 17th, General Luong Tam Quang - Member of the Political Bureau, Minister of Public Security - attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Khanh Hoa Provincial Police headquarters.

At the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Huu Phuoc, Director of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Police, announced that the new headquarters of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Police was built on a 9-hectare plot of land in Nam Nha Trang ward, with a total investment of over 900 billion VND.

This project belongs to group B and aims to meet the working requirements of nearly 1,300 police officers and soldiers of Khanh Hoa province.

Major General Nguyen Huu Phuoc also stated that the current facilities and offices of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Police are dilapidated, cramped, and no longer meet the requirements of work in the new modern development environment and the requirements of modernizing the People's Police force.

"Therefore, building a new headquarters addresses both immediate needs and has long-term strategic significance," Mr. Phuoc said.

Mr. Tran Phong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, requested that relevant units organize the construction to ensure it is on schedule and of high quality, and to complete the project and put it into use as soon as possible.

In his remarks, General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security, stated that the Khánh Hòa Provincial Police headquarters project was launched at a time when the whole country was striving to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The General stated that the commencement of construction of the Khánh Hòa Provincial Police headquarters is something that the officers and soldiers of the Khánh Hòa Provincial Police have been longing for for many years.

Minister Luong Tam Quang also expressed his hope that in the coming time, the Party Committee and the government of Khanh Hoa province will work together with the Ministry of Public Security to implement Resolution 12, which includes modernizing and building a clean, professional, elite, and modern police force in Khanh Hoa province.

Given its crucial importance for industrial and service development, and the presence of numerous key national projects, the Minister of Public Security affirmed that the police force will always work closely with the Party Committee and the government of Khanh Hoa province to foster development.

"The Khanh Hoa Provincial Police will be responsible for accompanying, supporting, and creating a secure, safe, and stable environment for the development of Khanh Hoa province," said General Luong Tam Quang.

The Khánh Hòa Provincial Police Headquarters (80 Trần Phú Street, Nha Trang Ward) was built in the 1990s (some office buildings date back to before 1975).

Currently, the facilities do not provide adequate working and living space for officers and soldiers, and after nearly 30 years of use, all the structures have deteriorated.
