On the afternoon of September 12, General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense , and his delegation visited the Ministry of National Defense's display area at the Exhibition of National Achievements on the 80th Anniversary of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness (Dong Anh Commune, Hanoi).

The Ministry of National Defense's exhibition area consists of two parts, indoor and outdoor. In the indoor exhibition area, there are 335 products and weapons scientifically designed, divided into many areas, recreating the history from the origin of the nation, the milestones over 80 years of building and defending the country, introducing the process of building the army; displaying the achievements of research and manufacturing of advanced defense equipment and technology.

In particular, the highlight of the exhibition is the modern interactive area with 3D mapping panorama technology and virtual reality glasses, bringing a realistic and vivid experience to visitors.

The Ministry of National Defense's outdoor exhibition area with an area of ​​over 23,000 m2 is also a highlight, featuring a dominant blue welcome gate - symbolizing the Vietnam People's Army, and a central roundabout design simulating the Hanoi Flag Tower (flagship tower).

Surrounding the exhibition space are diverse types of weapons and technical equipment researched and manufactured by Vietnam and weapons and technical equipment in the army's inventory such as: heavy ground self-propelled artillery, armored infantry fighting vehicles, anti-aircraft artillery, air defense and maritime surveillance radar systems, long-range multi-purpose UAVs, anti-UAV systems for modern combat, secure communication systems, S-125-VT missile complex, Truong Son missile complex... Thereby, reflecting the defense industry capacity and the strength to protect the Fatherland in the new period.

Visiting the exhibition areas, General Phan Van Giang stopped at many booths displaying modern weapons and equipment such as Scud-B (R 17E) missiles, S-125-VT missiles, Truong Son missile complex, self-propelled artillery, torpedoes, mines, guns, artillery...

At the exhibition booths, after listening to the officers explain and introduce the parameters of the weapons and equipment, the Minister of National Defense gave suggestions to help the weapons become more optimal and modern. In addition, the General also requested the defense industry to research and master modern military technologies.
