(NLDO) - In the 2025 - 2030 term, the An Giang Provincial Party Committee has 66 Executive Committee members and 16 Standing Committee members of the Provincial Party Committee.

On October 3, General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member and Minister of National Defense attended and directed the 1st Congress of An Giang Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

The Congress announced the Politburo 's decision to appoint 16 members to the Standing Committee of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee and 66 members to the Executive Committee of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee.

An Giang Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term

Mr. Nguyen Tien Hai was appointed by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. The Deputy Secretaries of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee include: Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Ho Van Mung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Lam Minh Thanh and Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huong, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

The Congress also announced the Politburo's decision to appoint delegates of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee to attend the 14th National Party Congress, including 37 official and 5 alternate delegates.

Speaking at the congress, General Phan Van Giang affirmed that the establishment of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee on the basis of merging the An Giang and Kien Giang Party Committees has important historical significance, opening up a new development space for An Giang province to make a comprehensive breakthrough in the coming period.

General Phan Van Giang suggested that the An Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term correctly assess the situation, clearly identify advantages, and choose a breakthrough to focus on leadership. In particular, the General emphasized that one of the important breakthroughs is to develop the marine economy, making An Giang a strong marine economic center of the country, especially focusing on developing Phu Quoc special zone according to a special mechanism, becoming a locomotive, spreading development to other fields. Closely combine economic development with protecting border and island sovereignty, maintaining political security and social order.
