Recently, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province has just organized the handover of 15 sets of gongs of the Ede, Mnong, Muong ethnic groups and 77 traditional costumes to clubs and art troupes in villages and hamlets of ethnic minorities in 11 districts, cities and towns in the province.
Specifically, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province coordinated to present 15 sets of gongs and 77 sets of traditional costumes to 16 clubs and traditional art troupes in the districts of Krong Buk, Ea Kar, Krong Ana, Krong Bong, Krong Nang, Krong Pak, Ea H'leo, Lak, Cu M'gar, Buon Ho town and Buon Ma Thuot city. In the 15 sets of gongs, there are 13 sets of Knah gongs of the Ede ethnic group, 1 set of gongs of the Mnong ethnic group and 1 set of gongs of the Muong ethnic group.

The provision of these gongs and traditional costumes comes from the funding of Project 6 "Preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development" under the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the period 2021 - 2030, Phase I: 2021 - 2025.
This activity not only encourages and motivates the spirit, but also raises awareness, responsibility and maintains practice and participation in gong cultural activities of artisans, gong teams, and art troupes in ethnic minority villages and hamlets. At the same time, it contributes to preserving the heritage of the Central Highlands Gong Cultural Space in Dak Lak province.
It is known that in order to preserve and promote the gong culture of Dak Lak province, in the period of 2022-2025, the whole province will have 50 gong teams in hamlets and villages granted gongs; typical art troupes with many contributions to the preservation and promotion of gong culture will be granted costumes.

The province also sets a goal that by 2025, all ethnic minority villages in the province will have gong teams and art troupes; districts, towns and cities will organize classes to teach gong playing and gong tuning, organize the restoration of traditional rituals and festivals associated with gong culture preservation activities; 100% of ethnic minority boarding schools will organize or participate in extracurricular activities on gong culture...
