Dengue fever is one of the fastest spreading mosquito-borne diseases in the world . In response to the 15th ASEAN Dengue Fever Prevention and Control Day, the Provincial People's Committee requested 100% of districts and cities to strongly implement activities to prevent and control dengue fever. 100% of households were mobilized and informed to implement measures to prevent and control dengue fever.
At least 90% of households in campaign locations were inspected and instructed on measures to prevent and control dengue fever. 100% of water containers in and around the house were inspected, observed and thoroughly treated when larvae were detected.
100% of communes, wards and towns organize rallies and launch campaigns to eradicate mosquito larvae to prevent and control dengue fever; mosquito larvae indexes: Breteau, houses with mosquito larvae, water containers with mosquito larvae must be at safe levels compared to before the campaign.
100% of agencies, departments, branches and units in the area participated in responding to the activities of the campaign to prevent and control dengue fever launched by the locality. 100% of communes, wards and towns organized radio broadcasts to propagate the campaign, distributed leaflets, hung banners and posters with information on prevention and control of dengue fever.
Through activities to enhance the role, responsibility, mobilize the community and social forces; widely and strongly spread dengue prevention and control activities to households; propagate and mobilize the community to implement measures to eliminate mosquito larvae with the slogan: "no mosquito larvae, no dengue"; reduce the rate of dengue fever and minimize the spread of dengue virus in the community.
