Speaking at the opening of the conference, comrade Ho Van Muoi praised the achievements of the provincial military, departments, branches, organizations and all people in performing national defense and military tasks.

The success in 2024 is the result of determination, solidarity and close coordination between the army and the people. This contributes to maintaining political stability, ensuring national defense and security, and promoting local socio-economic development.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the delegates to promote a sense of responsibility, actively contribute constructive opinions, and learn from the experience of the direction and management work of the past year. At the same time, propose effective solutions to complete the tasks of 2025 in the context of many forecasted difficulties and challenges.

According to the report, in 2024, the provincial armed forces have excellently completed assigned military and defense tasks, contributing to maintaining political security, social order and safety, creating a favorable environment for socio -economic development.

Notably, he successfully advised on organizing activities in the 20th Anniversary of the re-establishment of Dak Nong province and completed a 3-level one-sided command and staff exercise under the direction of the Military Region; directed the organization of a civil defense exercise for Krong No district, achieving good results.

The work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army completed 100% of the target; the ceremony to welcome discharged soldiers back to their localities was organized safely and thoughtfully.

At the conference, delegates followed the report on the results of local military and defense work in 2024 through a video presentation.

In addition, the activities of "Repaying gratitude" were focused on. The province presented 14,523 gifts worth more than 11.5 billion VND to policy beneficiaries and meritorious people on holidays and Tet.

The provincial armed forces mobilized social resources to build 16 gratitude houses with a total cost of 1.2 billion VND; effectively implemented the project "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" in the area.

The Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 3 collectives and 05 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Decree No. 21/2019/ND-CP dated February 22, 2019 of the Government on defense zones.

The police, military and border forces have strengthened coordination, inspection and defense appraisal of 47 socio-economic development projects.

In 2025, Dak Nong province will continue to thoroughly grasp the Party's directives and resolutions and the direction of the Ministry of National Defense and Military Region 5 on local defense and military work. The focus is on implementing the Project "Improving the capacity to perform civil defense tasks, respond to natural disasters, and search and rescue in the period 2025-2030".

The provincial armed forces are built in the direction of "refined, compact, strong", focusing on synchronous and in-depth training, improving combat skills and the ability to respond to new situations.

The Commander of Military Region 5 awarded the title "Basic Emulation Fighter" to 11 comrades for their outstanding achievements in the 2024 Emulation Movement to Win.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 3 groups and 5 individuals for their outstanding achievements in implementing Decree No. 21 of the Prime Minister. The Commander of Military Region 5 commended 13 groups for their excellent performance; 11 comrades were awarded the title of "Grassroots-level Emulation Fighter" and 7 comrades were awarded the title of "Advanced Fighter" in the 2024 Emulation Movement.
