According to TKV's report, April 2025 is the transition month, the weather is still favorable for coal production. To achieve TKV's 8% growth target in 2025, units continue to boost production, completing and exceeding key plan targets.

Raw coal production reached 3.7 million tons, equal to 110.4% of the monthly plan, cumulatively reaching 37.4% of the annual plan (17/18 coal production units completed and exceeded the plan); earth and rock excavation reached 15.75 million m3, equal to 109% of the monthly plan, cumulatively reaching 35% of the annual plan; tunnel excavation meter reached 24,245m, equal to 103% of the monthly plan, cumulatively reaching 32.5% of the annual plan (100% of units completed and exceeded the plan); coal consumption reached 4.785 million tons, equal to 97.9% of the monthly plan, cumulatively reaching 34.8% of the annual plan, of which coal for electricity production reached 4.193 million tons, equal to 100.1% of the monthly plan, cumulatively reaching 35.9% of the annual plan.

In May 2025, TKV will strive to exploit raw coal to produce 3.260 million tons; excavate 14.475 million m3 of earth and rock; dig 24,210 m3 of tunnels; consume 4.352 million tons; strive to complete at least 52% of the annual plan in the first 6 months.

Provide enough coal for electricity production

Deputy General Director of TKV Group, Director of the Production Control Center in Quang Ninh Nguyen Huy Nam said that in May 2025, the weather is forecast to be unusual, the demand for coal for electricity will increase, so units need to focus on implementing storm prevention, continuing to maintain production pace, and maximizing output. TKV strives to achieve the goal of achieving 55% of the annual plan in the first 6 months; ensuring production, import, processing and blending, meeting coal needs for the market and coal for electricity production.

Regarding the new regulations implemented from May 1, 2025, units strictly implement the regulations, the Group's professional departments inspect, supervise and urge implementation. At the same time, continue to strengthen inspection and supervision, ensure safety and environmental work in production; ensure security and order, protect assets, resources and mine boundaries during the April 30 and May 1 holidays.
