(CLO) On the afternoon of March 7, the People's Committee of Phu Tho province held a press meeting to provide information about the Hung Kings' Commemoration Ceremony and the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the year of At Ty 2025.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Dac Thuy, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province, said that the Hung Kings' Commemoration Ceremony and the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the year of At Ty - 2025 will take place from March 29 to April 7 (ie from the 1st to the 10th of the third lunar month) with about 25 to 27 unique cultural and sports activities and events.

Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to provide information about Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the year of At Ty 2025.

Activities such as: Opening art program with the theme "Sacred origin - Hung King's Ancestral Land"; Banh chung wrapping and cooking contest, Banh giay pounding contest; Street folk culture performance of Viet Tri city; Event "Colors of tourism of the Ancestral Land"; Xoan singing performance of ancient villages; Hung Vuong Cup volleyball tournament for strong national teams; "Returning to the source" Marathon...

According to the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province, the Organizing Committee is completing preparations to ensure that the festival is organized carefully and safely with a solemn and dignified ceremony that is deeply communal; a festival with joyful, healthy, safe and economical activities; a harmonious combination of traditional and modern folk cultural activities, creating a wide spread and satisfaction for compatriots and visitors from all over the world to visit the homeland.

Mr. Nguyen Dac Thuy, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province spoke at the press meeting.

In particular, at the meeting to answer questions from reporters and journalists about ensuring security and order for the festival, avoiding chaos, Mr. Pham Tien Dat, Director of the Hung Temple Historical Site, said that the Organizing Committee had planned to move all shops from the Gieng Temple area to the Gieng Temple intersection to the shore of Mai An Tiem Lake.

Along with that, the Organizing Committee also coordinated with relevant departments and branches to limit the situation of street vendors, beggars, and soliciting tourists to re-establish security and order, build a civilized image, create a safe and friendly landscape and environment for people and tourists when coming to the Hung Kings' Commemoration Festival in 2025.

Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Huy Ngoc, Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee, said that the Hung Kings' Commemoration Anniversary and the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the year of At Ty 2025 is an event of special significance, expressing respect and gratitude to the Hung Kings; at the same time, it is an opportunity to introduce and promote the image of the homeland of the Ancestral Land.

In order to effectively carry out information and propaganda work, Mr. Nguyen Huy Ngoc, Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee, requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - the press management agency of the province to perform well its role as state management agency of the press, ensuring a favorable working environment for reporters and journalists operating in the area; proactively grasp and synthesize opinions from reporters and journalists, promptly consider and resolve them according to their authority, thereby improving the effectiveness of coordination and press support; well organize the activities of the Press Center to serve the propaganda of the event.

The Hung Kings' death anniversary is a "golden opportunity" to promote and attract visitors from all over the country to Phu Tho. Therefore, the Vice Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee requested that tourism and travel businesses proactively and actively coordinate to provide information to the official media of press agencies to report and promote.

The Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee also acknowledged the great contributions of press agencies over the past years: Thanks to propaganda work, every year, the Hung Kings' Death Anniversary has achieved many important results, contributing to attracting an average of over 3 million domestic and international tourists. In the context of restructuring and streamlining the apparatus, this year's official program will have changes compared to the issued plan, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province is responsible for providing timely information, creating the best conditions to support the press in their work before, during and after the event.

Many journalists and reporters attended to report on the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the year of At Ty 2025.

It is known that compared to 2024, the scale of the 2025 event is much larger, sports, cultural and tourism activities are organized on a larger scale, and propaganda work is carried out a month in advance. Phu Tho is expected to welcome about 4 million visitors.

Thereby, contributing to spreading national pride, raising people's awareness of the responsibility to preserve and promote the tradition of building and defending the country; enhancing a deeper understanding of the cultural and historical depth of the homeland, thereby arousing patriotism, solidarity and awareness of heritage preservation in every Vietnamese citizen.
