
On the morning of October 26, at the headquarters of Nhan Dan Newspaper (71 Hang Trong, Hanoi), Nhan Dan Newspaper coordinated with the National Political Publishing House Truth to organize the book launching ceremony "Vietnamese People in the New Era" by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hong Vinh - former member of the Party Central Committee, former Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, former Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, former President of the Vietnam Journalists Association .
Attending the book launching ceremony were Party Central Committee members: Mai Van Chinh, Deputy Prime Minister; Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Ngo Dong Hai, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission; Doan Minh Huan, Permanent Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Comrade Le Hai Binh, Alternate Party Central Committee member, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Also attending were veteran journalist Ha Dang, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Head of the Central Ideology and Culture Commission (now the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission); representatives of leaders of central departments, ministries, and branches, experts, and scientists.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the book launch, comrade Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, emphasized that the launch of the book “Vietnamese People in the New Era” is not only a cultural event, but also a profound and timely theoretical contribution, contributing to arousing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country; spreading the message of “taking Vietnamese culture and people as the foundation ” for our nation to rise strongly.

Comrade Le Quoc Minh stated that in the new era - the era of the 4.0 industrial revolution, digital transformation, globalization and profound changes - more than ever, we need to awaken the mettle and character of the Vietnamese people: patriotism, love of peace, respect for humanity, tolerance, friendliness, flexibility and creativity. That is the unparalleled strength that helps our nation overcome all challenges and reach new heights.
“The book ' Vietnamese People in the New Era' by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hong Vinh is a typical publication, deeply reflecting those issues. These are not only pages rich in theoretical and practical values but also imbued with humanistic spirit, contributing to clarifying the role of the Vietnamese people in the journey of innovation”, Comrade Le Quoc Minh affirmed.
Sharing at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh assessed that the book is a humane and profound work of gratitude for the cause of building and developing Vietnamese people and culture, and is a precious and noble spiritual gift for today's and future generations.

He said that the 13th National Party Congress emphasized that taking Vietnamese cultural values and people as the foundation and important endogenous strength to ensure the country's sustainable development. The draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress also pointed out that it is necessary to strongly and comprehensively develop Vietnamese culture and people, build and develop an advanced Vietnamese culture with strong national identity, synchronously on the foundation of national values, cultural values, family values and Vietnamese human standards.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, in the book of Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hong Vinh, there are many articles devoted to researching and analyzing the Party's guidelines and policies on culture and people, determining the importance of culture to society. On that basis, strategic issues are planned, as well as specific issues of caring for human development in education, health care and social security, aiming at the goal of people living in prosperity, happiness.
Many articles affirm the values of Vietnamese people in the new era with the crystallization of historical, traditional and modern identities, such as patriotism, love of peace, respect for human dignity, tolerance, friendliness, flexibility and creativity. There are articles that raise the existing problems in society with a frank spirit, looking straight at the truth to find directions and practical solutions for the common good.

The Deputy Prime Minister stated that the issues mentioned in the book have theoretical and practical significance, and are topical; at the same time, he highly appreciated the author's dedication to research, with the responsibility of predecessors hoping for today's generation, citizens who carry within themselves the Vietnamese cultural identity, the aspirations of Vietnamese people, and responsibility for the country's future.
Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh expressed his hope that the book would be widely disseminated to readers, especially the young generation, to better identify the challenges and opportunities, thereby making efforts to build standards for Vietnamese people in the new era to be more dynamic, more creative, more courageous, and full of humanity and responsibility.
Speaking at the book launch ceremony, experts and scientists expressed their admiration for the travel, thinking and writing of Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hong Vinh, saying that the book's appeal is the resonance between the political quality of a veteran, experienced journalist and the artistic quality of a poet.
In particular, the book deals with a very "hot" topic today, which is the "new era"; emphasizing the great role of the Vietnamese people that has determined all achievements of historical significance in the 40 years of national renovation under the leadership of the Party - an important foundation for our country to enter the era of national development.
The book “Vietnamese People in the New Era” was published in the context that the entire Party, people and army are making efforts to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, towards the 14th National Congress of Delegates - an important historical milestone opening a new era of development, an era of rising up of the Vietnamese nation.
With more than 300 pages, the book gathers articles, reports and typical interviews of Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hong Vinh over the years, reflecting major issues about culture, people, press and the development of the country in the period of integration and digital transformation.

The book "Vietnamese People in the New Era" consists of three parts unified in a consistent ideological vein.
Part 1 "Enhancing the present, opening up the future" focuses on discussing theoretical and practical issues in building Vietnamese culture and people, associated with the task of developing the country quickly and sustainably.
The second part , “Vietnamese revolutionary press accompanies the nation's history,” depicts the role and mission of Vietnamese revolutionary press under the Party's leadership, right on the occasion of the whole country celebrating the 100th anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).
The third part , “Humanity and Vietnamese Life” contains many humane stories and profound contemplations about people, life, and Vietnamese humanity - simple but beautiful, close but imbued with national identity.
The three independent but closely connected parts of content demonstrate the author's great belief in the endogenous strength, qualities and aspirations of the Vietnamese people on the journey of innovation, integration and development.
