The book is a profound, multi-dimensional research work on the history, architecture, culture and spiritual life of collective housing areas (KTT) in Vietnam, especially Hanoi .

The event introduces to the public the book “Residential Area - Rediscovering the Dream of Paradise” - an interdisciplinary research and art work that evokes memories and recreates the humanistic values ​​of urban life in Vietnam in the 20th century. The program spreads the message “Common Dream in Private Memories”, connecting generations through the communal space - a typical urban cultural symbol.

The book “Residential Area - Finding the Dream of Paradise” is a collective work co-edited by Dr. Tran Hau Yen The and Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Hong Hai, with the participation of many prestigious authors such as Nguyen Tran Duc Anh, Le Phuoc Anh, Tran Huy Anh, Pham Thi Ngoc Bich, Pham Thi Thuy Chung, Vu Hiep, Nguyen Van Huy, Nguyen Vu Hoang, Pham Long...; published by Vietnam Education Publishing House (Hanoi Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company organized the manuscript).

Through three main parts: “Historical Heritage”, “Humanistic Urban Area” and “Dream of Paradise”, the book not only recreates the journey from post-war dream houses, with elements such as “machinery”, “tiger cages” or “AIDS goods”, but also analyzes the values ​​of humanity, community and creativity in urban living spaces.

In addition, the book “Residential Areas - Finding the Dream of Paradise” has collected and selected many paintings, documentary photos and vivid practical stories about life in famous residential areas in Hanoi such as: Kim Lien Residential Area, Van Chuong, Khuong Thuong, Thanh Cong,... Each image, each story is a piece of memory, contributing to recreating the living space, cultural activities and community spirit of urban people during the subsidy period, a period rich in emotions and humanity in the development history of the Capital.

Along with the launching ceremony, the program also had a discussion with the participation of prestigious speakers, people who have been involved in research on urban, culture and architecture for many years such as: Dr. Tran Hau Yen The, Lecturer of the Faculty of Art and Design, School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Huy, former Director of the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology; Dr. Pham Thi Thuy Chung, Institute of Ethnology and Religious Studies, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences...
