The event was organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with the National Political Publishing House Truth.

Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh emphasized that Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hong Vinh, despite his advanced age, still dedicates his time, effort, and passion to researching current social issues, and today he is launching a book discussing the development of Vietnamese people in the new era.
The book contains many insightful articles researching and analyzing the Party's guidelines and policies on culture and human resources, identifying the purpose and importance of culture to society. Based on this, it formulates strategic and specific issues to care for human development in education, healthcare, social welfare, etc., aiming for people to live prosperous, happy, and fulfilling lives.
Many articles affirm the values of the Vietnamese people in the new era, with characteristics distilled from history, tradition, and modernity, such as patriotism, love of peace, respect for righteousness and compassion, tolerance, friendliness, flexibility, and creativity. The book also includes articles addressing existing social issues with a spirit of confronting the truth to find positive, scientific solutions for the common good.

We are living in an era of digital technology, globalization, green transformation, digital transformation, and profound changes in social, economic, and cultural structures. In this flow, people are not only the subjects affected, but also the agents of change, the decisive factors in the success of national development, with faith, hope, and motivation to enter an era of prosperity, civilization, and happiness.
Therefore, the issues addressed in the book have theoretical and practical significance and are highly relevant to current events.
The Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the author's dedication to research, acknowledging the responsibility of those who came before, wishing to pass on their knowledge and hopes to today's generation – citizens who embody Vietnamese cultural identity and aspirations, with a sense of responsibility towards the future of the country.
The Deputy Prime Minister hopes that the book will be widely disseminated to readers, especially the younger generation, so that they can better recognize the challenges and opportunities and strive to build the standards of Vietnamese people in the new era - more dynamic, more creative, more resilient, but also full of compassion and responsibility.

With over 300 pages, the book compiles representative articles, reports, and interviews by Associate Professor, Doctor, and journalist Nguyen Hong Vinh over the years, reflecting major issues concerning culture, people, journalism, and the country's development during the period of integration and digital transformation.
The book "Vietnamese People in the New Era" consists of three parts that are unified by a consistent overarching theme.
