Ensuring traffic order and safety on the occasion of April 30 and May 1

The Provincial Traffic Safety Committee has just sent a document to member agencies of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee; People's Committees of districts, towns and cities; unions and socio-political organizations of the province; Khanh Hoa Inland Waterways Port Authority requesting to ensure traffic safety and order during the April 30 and May 1 holidays and the peak summer tourist season in 2025.

Accordingly, the Department of Construction directed transport businesses to develop plans and schemes for organizing passenger transport to meet the travel needs of people on fixed routes, ensuring traffic safety; coordinate with relevant units to develop plans for organizing traffic on national highways and expressways, promptly detect and handle any problems and shortcomings that arise. At the same time, direct road management units to maintain on-duty units to ensure traffic safety during the April 30 and May 1 holidays; direct inspection forces to coordinate with units and localities to strictly handle violations of traffic safety order, and strictly control violations of means of transport.

The provincial police directed forces to coordinate with local Traffic Safety Committees to proactively prevent, stop and strictly handle acts of gathering to disturb public order and illegal racing; resolutely handle and suppress those who act against law enforcement officers; have plans to regulate and divide traffic reasonably, guide safe and smooth traffic, especially on routes and areas where traffic volume is forecast to increase during the April 30, May 1 and 2025 holidays. At the same time, strengthen coordination between the Traffic Police force and other forces on duty on key traffic routes and BOT toll stations; develop plans to organize and regulate traffic, arrange sufficient rescue vehicles to promptly resolve incidents and prevent traffic congestion.

The People's Committees of districts, towns and cities have solutions to strictly control and organize safe and smooth traffic, closely linked with guidance and support for people in traveling; make the greatest effort to prevent particularly serious traffic accidents, especially on routes and areas with high risk of traffic accidents and traffic jams in the area. In particular, the People's Committee of Nha Trang City must organize forces to ensure traffic order and safety, prevent accidents and traffic jams in areas with high traffic density, tourist attractions, crowded areas, routes with risk of traffic jams such as Tran Phu Street, Ma Vong intersection, etc.
