"Pocket 60 million VND a year"
In recent years, the demand for using electric vehicles for transportation service business purposes has gradually become popular as more and more people realize the superior economic benefits of electric vehicles compared to internal combustion engine vehicles.
Mr. Nguyen Quang, 35 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh City, used to use a class A hatchback to run a technology taxi business. At the end of 2023, he transferred his old car and bought a VinFast VF 5 Plus with the desire to optimize costs. In fact, Mr. Quang feels that this number could be even higher, because driving in the inner city of Ho Chi Minh City is often congested, the fuel consumption of his gasoline car sometimes reaches 8-9 liters/100 km.
Regarding maintenance costs, the first 12,000 km of maintenance on his VF 5 Plus only cost him less than 1 million VND. For the same distance, the old gasoline car had to be maintained 3 times, with the cost of changing the oil and labor alone costing about 600,000-800,000 VND each time.
Mr. Minh Chien, 30 years old, who has also been in the transportation service business in Ho Chi Minh City for many years, tested his brother's VF 5 Plus for a month to calculate the costs before deciding to switch to an electric vehicle.
“ Normally, I drive a 2018 sedan, Ho Chi Minh City inner-city roads consume 8-9 liters/100 km, gas costs about 10 million VND. With VinFast VF 5 Plus, I charge at the station and at home, the cost is only about 1.5 million VND. Including battery rental costs, I save more than 5 million VND per month, which means I pocket about 60 million VND per year ,” Mr. Chien recounted.

In fact, the VF 5 Plus is receiving increasing attention from the consumer community. The proof is that in the first quarter of the year, VinFast's electric SUV is number 1 in segment A, with sales nearly equal to the total number of cars sold by all other brands on the market.

This is an unprecedented policy in the market, helping VF 5 Plus in particular and electric cars in general become closer to the majority of customers.
Accordingly, with VinFast VF 5 Plus (battery lease) priced at 468 million VND, borrowing 80% of the car value, the monthly installment payment of both principal and interest is only about 5 million VND. Many users consider this a very reasonable cost to invest in a car for business purposes, especially when compared to gasoline models in the same price range.
“ With a regular monthly distance of about 5,000 km, the car owner saves 5 million VND per month, equal to the installment payment. To make it easier to imagine, it is like buying a car, you only need to pay the exact amount of the initial payment, the rest is free ”, Mr. Nguyen Quang (HCMC) commented on the installment payment policy.
According to him, VinFast VF 5 Plus is a car model that holds its value well and is easily liquidated with great demand from the user community along with an old-for-new exchange policy, committed to buying back from 65% to 88% of the car's value from Cho Tot.
Another “privilege” of customers owning VinFast electric vehicles operating in the transportation service business is that they can participate in the XanhSM Platform and share revenue up to 80%, the highest level in the current technology taxi market. Stable cash flow from XanhSM with a large and continuously growing customer base helps car owners no longer worry about having to find customers themselves.
From another perspective, for a frequent car user like Mr. Nguyen Quang, what he is particularly interested in is the warranty policy. VF 5 Plus gives him confidence with a 7-year/160,000 km warranty policy (whichever comes first) for the car and an 8-year/unlimited km warranty for the battery.
