Towards Vietnam Theatre Day (August 12th of the lunar calendar), in order to create a connection between the Provincial Cultural Center and the Cultural - Communication and Sports Centers of districts and Ca Mau City, on the afternoon of September 7th, the Provincial Cultural Center organized activities towards the roots and ancestors of the theatre profession.

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with many professionals in the field of theater, actors, collaborators, civil servants, public employees and workers from various units attended the event to recall memories of the profession.

Stage director Nguyen Quoc Tin, Deputy Director of the Provincial Cultural Center, said: “In 2011, the Prime Minister signed and issued Decision No. 13/QD-TTg to take the 12th day of the 8th lunar month every year as Vietnam Stage Day; recognizing the contributions, position and role of stage arts and artists in the cause of building an advanced Vietnam with a strong national identity. Before the profession, on behalf of the Board of Directors of the Provincial Cultural Center, I report on the results of activities in the first 8 months of 2024, achieving many successes in the field of art, such as: successfully organizing the program to celebrate the Party, celebrate the Spring of Giap Thin 2024; coordinating with the Center for Culture - Communication and Sports of districts and Ca Mau City to successfully organize the 3rd Ca Mau Provincial Clubs' Art Festival and the Provincial Mass Art Performance in 2024; participating in the National Mobile Propaganda Contest to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory with the theme "Returning to Dien Bien", won 3 medals (1 Gold Medal, 2 Silver Medals); National Mobile Propaganda Contest to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the opening of the Ho Chi Minh trail won 3 medals (1 Gold Medal, 2 Silver Medals); participated in the 19th Mekong Delta region "Singing rendezvous with 9 rivers" performance, won 1 Gold Medal and 2 Silver Medals".

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tin, Deputy Director of the Provincial Cultural Center, spoke in recognition of the contributions of the province's performing arts and artists to the development of Vietnam in general and Ca Mau province in particular.

From the activity of honoring the ancestors, "artists in the province will continue to unite, keep the passion for the profession, promote creativity, strive even harder, put all their efforts into artistic work together, create many good and quality works of art to meet the enjoyment needs of the public, worthy of being the next generation, contributing to the development of Ca Mau province's art, in order to implement the Party's resolutions on culture and arts, fulfilling the glorious mission of those working in culture and arts for the country and the people", director Nguyen Quoc Tin expected.

A sacred moment for those working in the performing arts from the province to the grassroots, solemnly and respectfully offering incense to their ancestors.

On the day of the meeting, everyone took a minute to pay homage to the ancestors, and at the same time remember the artists and artisans who have passed away or sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and unification; for the cause of the country's arts. We thank our ancestors and descendants for creating and giving us immortal melodies. Those working in the performing arts from the province to the grassroots attended the meeting, solemnly offering incense to the ancestors. Along with the respectful incense sticks were lessons on ethics, awareness and responsibility of artists in the new era, to be worthy soldiers on the cultural front.

Talented actress Tram Anh - Ngoc Hien District Media & Sports Center opened the stage exchange night to celebrate Vietnam Stage Day with the song "Shine Forever Faith" - to the tune of Lien Nam by the late composer Huynh Khanh.

The song and dance performance "Thanksgiving, Three Holy Ancestors" was performed by the Cultural Center Club.

In a warm and sincere atmosphere, Vietnam Stage Day also had dance performances such as "Thanksgiving, Three Holy Ancestors", "Theater Curtain" performed by the Cultural Center Club... On this occasion, the Trade Union of the Cultural Center organized sports activities with a series of games and karaoke singing competitions that were very exciting and meaningful.

Mr. Tran Hieu Hung, Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism, awarded the game prize to the units with high achievements.
