+ Editor's Advice:
Huawei Watch Fit 4 will be suitable for users who love a fashionable device, can easily change the strap to suit each usage need. In the popular segment, this device integrates relatively complete health monitoring features and supports sports training.
However, the device will not be suitable for users who need a device capable of meeting professional sports training needs, or require in-depth health monitoring features.
Design and display
The overall appearance of the Huawei Watch Fit 4 is almost unchanged from its predecessor. This smartwatch still retains a minimalist design with a square watch face and gently rounded corners.

The device's microphone and speaker are located on the left side. Meanwhile, the right side has a rotary control button and another button that allows quick access to functions. Users can set custom functions for this button according to their usage habits, such as quickly opening workout apps or heart rate measurement apps, SpO2 measurement, etc.
The case of the watch is made of sturdy aluminum alloy. The device weighs 27g without the strap. The standard version comes with a 3D woven nylon strap. This type of strap feels quite comfortable and cool to wear for long periods of time.
However, nylon straps are not suitable for water sports because the strap will be slippery and take a long time to dry. Users should use rubber straps when participating in these sports.
The plus point is that the watch allows users to easily replace the strap by simply pressing a button on the back. Users can replace different types of straps depending on their needs.
The back of the watch is where the sensors used to monitor health are located. This area is designed to be raised higher than the surface. This design helps the sensors make better contact with the wrist, thereby increasing the accuracy of the measurement results.
Huawei Watch Fit 4 is equipped with a 1.82-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 480 x 480 pixels. This screen size is quite popular in the smartwatch market, equivalent to Apple Watch SE 2 (1.78 inches) or Amazfit Cheetah Square (1.75 inches).

The display quality of this screen is also quite good with a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits, helping to display images clearly even when used outdoors in the sun. The screen has a refresh rate of 60Hz, making swiping, touching and switching between applications smoother.
A small limitation is that the screen border is still uneven, the top and bottom edges are quite thick. However, users can overcome this weakness by using dark wallpapers.
This screen also supports automatic brightness adjustment according to the surrounding environment. Tested in many different conditions, the watch has a stable response speed and can quickly adjust to the appropriate brightness level.
Support sports training and health monitoring
The Huawei Watch Fit 4 supports a variety of health monitoring features, including heart rate measurement, blood oxygen level (SpO2) measurement, sleep quality analysis, stress level detection, and menstrual cycle prediction.

The device also integrates an Emotional Wellness app to track and display emotional states at three levels, including happy, neutral or upset. Users can also set their mood to display on the watch face, with the pet's expression changing according to the emotional state.
Emotional health information is stored and tracked by day, week, month, and year. From there, the device will provide personalized advice on sleep and exercise to help balance the body, mind, and soul. When feeling stressed, users can also do breathing exercises available in the Emotional Health app to change their mood.
Compared to its predecessor, the Watch Fit 4 has added a barometer sensor to enhance the outdoor training experience. In addition, the watch also supports more than 100 training modes and tracks swimming routes. The device also integrates visual and audio descriptions to guide users during the training process.
The watch is equipped with Huawei Sunflower positioning system with dual-band GPS, providing fast and accurate positioning speed in many conditions. This is considered a big plus because most smartwatches in the popular segment only integrate single-band GPS.
Testing with outdoor walking mode in an area with many apartments and high-rise buildings, the positioning system on Huawei Watch Fit 4 works relatively fast and stable, without losing signal during the move.

From the moment you press start, the watch only takes about 5 seconds to locate the position. Even when moving close to the edge of apartment buildings, the map information is still drawn accurately, without much deviation.
During workouts, users also receive real-time voice guidance to ensure they stay on track. Additionally, users can create a color-coded route map that shows where they have been and where they are going, and download or import routes in advance for use even offline.
Other smart features
Huawei Watch Fit 4 is installed on HarmonyOS 5.1 operating system with a minimalist interface. Icons and letters are designed with large size, easy to operate. The watch integrates Bluetooth 5.2 allowing connection to both Android and iOS phones via Huawei Health application, supporting data synchronization and receiving message and call notifications.
The connection between the watch and the phone is also maintained stably, without any problems with slow notifications or connection errors during use. With the advantage of a square watch face, the device can display more content on the screen. The device also does not encounter problems related to font errors or icon display errors.

Watch Fit 4 also allows direct conversation on the watch when connected via Bluetooth to the phone. Users can answer voice calls and calls from third-party applications such as Messenger, Telegram or Zalo.
In addition, the device also supports a number of other features and utilities such as viewing weather forecasts, finding phones, setting alarms, etc. Watch Fit 4 is still equipped with a 400mAh battery similar to the previous version.
With daily use requiring the phone to be connected to view notifications, make calls, and turn on the continuous heart rate monitoring feature, the watch can last for 7-10 days depending on settings and usage intensity. Meanwhile, if the AOD (always-on display) feature is turned on, the battery life will be reduced to 4 days.
One small change is that the watch has switched to wireless charging, replacing the magnetic charging on its predecessor. The Watch Fit 4 also supports NFC technology. However, it should be noted that only the gray version is equipped with this technology.
Summary
Huawei Watch Fit 4 will be available in the Vietnamese market at the end of May. This product line competes directly with some rivals in the popular segment such as Amazfit Cheetah Square or Xiaomi Redmi Watch 5.

This smartwatch model will be suitable for users who love a fashionable device, can easily change the strap to suit each style of use. In the popular segment, this device integrates relatively complete health monitoring features, supports sports training and has good battery life.
Compared to the Watch Fit 4 Pro version, the standard model has been cut some professional sports features such as Golf mode, free diving and ECG sensor.
Therefore, the device will not be suitable for users who need a smartwatch capable of meeting professional sports training needs, or require in-depth health monitoring features.
