To implement the peak of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Bac Lieu province, the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee have focused on directing all levels and sectors to promptly, synchronously, effectively and in accordance with regulations on the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. At the same time, a Steering Committee at 3 levels was established to closely and promptly direct the work of eliminating temporary houses in the whole province; conduct investigations, surveys and make a list of over 1,760 households living in temporary and dilapidated houses in the province who are in need of support and assistance to rebuild and repair their houses.

With the spirit of mutual love and support, "the rich help the poor", in the process of building houses for poor and near-poor households, Bac Lieu province has received support of over 100 billion VND from units, businesses, and philanthropists inside and outside the province to support the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area. In particular, accompanying Bac Lieu province in implementing the Program "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses", the Ministry of Public Security has supported the construction of 700 houses for poor and near-poor households in the province, with a total amount of 42 billion VND.
To ensure effective implementation of the Ministry of Public Security's funding, in February 2025, the Office of the Ministry of Public Security held an online meeting with the Bac Lieu Provincial Police, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, the Department of Construction, and the Office of the Provincial People's Committee to agree on solutions to implement the plan to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses and prepare for the construction of model houses. Along with that, the Provincial Police also advised the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to issue Decision No. 2290 promulgating the "Project to support the construction of houses for poor and near-poor households with housing difficulties in the province from the support capital of the Ministry of Public Security and Bac Lieu province".

At the same time, Bac Lieu Provincial Police issued a plan to direct the Police of units and localities to take action with a determined spirit, urgently complete the review and construction of houses for people according to the set roadmap and progress. Directed the local Police force to establish committees, teams, and groups to support people in dismantling old houses, rebuilding new houses and selecting to build 2 model houses for the family of Ms. Truong Thi Tuyet (born in 1953) and the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Bi (born in 1978), both residing in Phuoc Hoa Tien hamlet, Phuoc Long town, Phuoc Long district (Bac Lieu province) to assess standards and organize a handover ceremony.
After surveying and agreeing on the model house construction plan, Bac Lieu Police continued to coordinate, discuss and agree with the Department of Construction, the Department of Construction and Barracks Management, and consulted with the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee to build a model house suitable to the natural conditions, climate, culture, customs, habits, and amenities of local people. As a result, after more than 1 month of construction, two model houses were completed and put into use.

At the ceremony to present and hand over funds to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses to Bac Lieu province (April 3, 2025), Colonel Nguyen Hong Nguyen - Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Public Security said: "With the spirit of leaving no one behind, recently, the Ministry of Public Security has launched the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025". In addition, the Ministry of Public Security also accompanies provinces, cities and localities across the country to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, with a total of nearly 19,000 houses, of which 700 houses are supported to Bac Lieu province, with a total value of 42 billion VND.

With the spirit of solidarity, overcoming difficulties, striving to successfully carry out the emulation movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses of the Ministry of Public Security, Bac Lieu Provincial Police continued to mobilize 3,500 officers and soldiers to coordinate with union members, youth, armed forces and local people to support material and working days to build houses for poor and near-poor households.

After 45 days of implementation, with the joint efforts of forces and the community, by April 30, 2025, Bac Lieu province had basically built and completed 698 houses for poor and near-poor households from the support of the Ministry of Public Security.
Of which, Gia Rai town has 200 houses; Hoa Binh district has 45 houses; Vinh Loi district has 100 houses; Phuoc Long district has 55 houses; Dong Hai district has 250 houses; Hong Dan district has 50 houses. Thereby, improving the quality of life of the people as well as actively contributing to the local poverty reduction.
